Just heard this story about a friend of a family member. She’s always worried about running into an ex, or being hit on by guys she is not interested in, so she goes on tinder to find “big guys” and asks them on dates to parties and social events. She then woos them into thinking they are her protector and leads them around until she feels secure enough. She then ditches them at the party once she feels she has met someone she likes or no longer has interest being at the party/event. Apparently this is a thing now, so if you think it’s really cool some random girl is complimenting your height/weight/muscle/masculinity she might be just trying to bamboozle you into being her personal body guard for the evening.
