I'm 47 years old and have been saving about a quarter of my net take each month for quite a while. I figure I have another 3 years to work before I can afford to retire.

Freedom, peace of mind and yes - enough money to have my needs met for the minimal amount of work. Additional money is of course always nice but usually comes with additional stress and perhaps in some cases giving up your morality/reputation to some degree.

Freedom in reality is attachment to nothing. People truly dont want to be free. They will seek alternatives to keep them in bondage serving an object. True freedom results when you have mastered your mind .
