Good friends, doing their best to protect him. I really hope he makes the right decision

Marrying the highschool dream girl who wouldn't give you the time of day back then is a recipe for a horrible life.

Stupid her is right.

I actually agree with the woman here with something specific she said.
Basically she's saying that she doesn't like the pre-nup because it basically means that you don't trust each other to not divorce.
I also agree with the lawyer she went to, when (s)he said it's a modern necessity.
So men, put 2 and 2 together. A lawyer said a pre-nup is necessary. A pre-nup basically means you can't trust your girl. What's the logical conclusion here?

Notice how her whole anger is directed at him making a more informed choice...

I will never understand how women can be so retarded. I know this is a bit out of topic but if you're already having these many issues at the start of your marriage why the fuck do you keep pushing for it? It seems like her whole plan is to just divorce rape him... Either that or that wall is coming in fast and she's out of options... But really what the fuck?
Seems to me like she's playing innocent now but once he's married she'll be the manipulative ogre she always was... Also, kudos to those friends, real MVPs

Really. They're just doing what we'd do. She's probably afraid that his friends will let him know how many guys she has really been with.

To be fair:
The screenshot cuts before she explains that she has as house as well; one that she rents out while she lives at his place and pays a significant amount of bills for them (utility, food, etc.). Also that he was the one wanting to marry.
She doesn't seem to be a parasite looking for resources, not at this point anyway.
So while I appreciate his friends looking out for him, he might got carried away too much...

Well we don't know the situation but based on this guy's friends the girl may be a whore and she's clearly an entitled asshole playing innocent
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She may be and that could possibly be the reason. Or his friends just had bad experiences and project them onto him.
Either way, the burden of proof is on the accuser, not the defender. Since we don't even have statements, accusations and reasoning from the husband and his friend themselves, no judgement shall be made. It's that easy.
Women aren't victims by default. Men aren't victims be default.
Maybe she's f-ed up, maybe he is, maybe both are, maybe nobody is. I don't think we can tell based on the information presented.
In my humble opinion it's best to keep prejudice out of one's own head if you want to rise above the twisted and unfair reality, rather then contributing to it.

I agree

The Guy is a fool and a puppet. He doesn't think for himself and is caught between the woman and his friends. The woman has all the power because now that she has threatened the wedding is off he asks her to please not leave him. He can't have it both ways so in the end he will have it no way. He will bend a knee to keep her and he will cut loose his friends. In the end she will cut him loose and sleep with his friends.
"When I got home he was right by the door wanting to talk. We didn't really have a "talk", I made DEMANDS of my own, non-negotiable ones:
Wedding is OFF, we tell everyone tomorrow, we cancel what has to be cancelled etc etc.
Nobody is drinking any alcohol until at LEAST after the Wednesday counseling.
Nobody's going out with friends until after Wednesday either.
Please stay out of the damn kitchen while I cook, I need space, we'll talk more when we're eating dinner.
( Is it still a demand if you say "please?" 🤔 )
He looked pretty stunned, said "ok I'll wait until dinner" and headed upstairs, but came back and asked me if I was going to leave him. I said "not tonight" he headed back upstairs and then came back AGAIN and said "Please don't leave me." I responded "Get the fuck outta here and let me THINK in peace", he left again, finally MADE it upstairs. I can hear him up there pacing and muttering to himself but otherwise I've got the peace I demanded for at least the next hour until the food's done and set out on the table.
I have NO idea what's next, or what his reaction means and I'm trying to think it over but it's all a mess in my head."

Dude I think you got it wrong, the text is from the perspective of the female of the relationship (sorry for the bad English)

The post is by a female. Those are her words.

I'm trying to redpill my friends as much as I can. One of them is, sadly, too gone for me to save.

Only in today's society can someone (such as this woman) go onto the internet and seek help to entrap her fiancé into a potential marriage to steal half his assets. Crazy.

Ah yes, women getting mad that men are asking questions and not liking the answers about their past. Maybe you should have a better past.
