The little spoken of follow up of red pill rage, the nihilistic phase. This is how I got through it:

Recognize that society is not us. We have separated ourselves from it because it doesn't care about us.
Stop caring about society. You need only poke your head into politics every few years to vote for the small government candidate and keep your taxes low.
Live your life. Because you don't care about what anybody thinks (save your friends and family that actually care about you), you can be a total hedonist without regret.

See we find ourselves somewhere between a rock and a hard place (if you know the saying).

On the one hand we're at total dissidence with the statu quo (the way society is), on the other hand we still need to continue participating in it.

This participation is mandatory and for me anyways involuntary. We certainly need a job to secure income, even if some of us have our own business, we're not exempt from society at large.

Our very fibre and makeup is that of at least a somewhat social creature. I will admit to being better at handling vast periods of isolation better than others, that doesn't mean I enjoy 100% seclusion 100% of the time. Obviously we yearn for company.

Yet many of us, haven't fully truly abandoned society completely because while we are still forced to interact with it, our livelihood is at stake.

True abandonment too could spell out disastrous results. People who well and truly abandon society completely can be remarkable, but also remarkably dangerous. Ted Kaczynski for example.

So my solution is. Firstly know you're absolutely not alone, but your struggle is your own, just like mine is my own. You're not there for me when I go about my day, just like I'm not there for you.

But instead of fluttering around in this life knowing at our core that there's something very wrong here and focusing on that. We need to be a bit more brave, mature and rational. Sure all that shit is wrong, but we're pioneers and adventurers.

We might be surrounded by a flood of people, society might look normal, but to me, sometimes I feel like I might as well be in an Arctic research station. Sometimes I feel slightly connected to certain things, but I mostly feel I'm observing society from a distance. Busy ants all on a mission.

So it is our task to find rewarding ways to spend our time. Ultimately to improve the quality of our life over that of the average blue pill (and I mean the matrix reference definition and not cucked). To be purposeful.

And that can be extremely fucking hard. My advice is plan your finances so that they work in your favor. Doing radical shit also costs money, but make it happen.

As for a short term idea - That sunscreen song said one thing - Do something every day that scares you. At least do something once per week that scares you.

And lastly, there is shit you get forced to do as a child, eg: School, sporting events, church, whatever.... Some of which you absolutely cannot stand. You're repulsed by the notion of doing such things. As an adult you have the freedom simply to say no. Which means you get extremely fucking comfortable. Too damn comfortable, or your own prison. Intelligent people are at more risk of pulling this off and can achieve very close to a Nirvana comfort level - But it's not exciting, causes depression and a sense of uneasiness. So try counteract this by enrolling in activities.

My plan once I get my new car is to travel (by car) to a new European city every month. This will be my hobby. Find something that suits you and also a MGTOW approach to life.

Yes society is depressing which is why we must break free from it. I am convinced there will be a civil war, religious war or collapse of some sort. I am not the president, the pope or a multinational banker so there is not much I can do about it. What I can do though is prepare. Store food and water, become competent in knife and gun fighting, be in shape, have basic survival skills. If at most you are mediocre at all those things you will be better off then 95% of people when shit hits the fan. Sometimes there is beauty in our nightmares happening. Nobody wants to see the mass carnage an event like that could bring but I am convinced it is the only way for society to actually change.

All you can do is prepare and enjoy your day to day life at the moment.

I don't think about my washing machine unless it breaks. But it makes life easier than scrubbing my shirt with lye in the river and hanging it on a line to dry.

It's human nature to accept the good and to focus on the current frontier of suffering. That's why we keep progressing but can't feel it.

Not sure how to break the pattern. Humans wouldn't have gotten so far if they sat around being impressed by the efficiency of their laundry. We bring tension to ourselves even when we have enough for survival.

I'd say think of understanding MGTOW as a gift that will prevent so much future suffering. Understand that you are in the drivers seat, you can shape/mold yourself outside of the societal constraints that come with associating with women.

Everyone has their own flavor of MGTOW, find yours and develop it, develop yourself.

The world has always been this way. You can open a history book or read through literature of any time during civilization and you will find evidence of wars, murder, theft, lies, backstabbing, mass starvation, discrimination, genocide, slavery etc. The only difference between then and now, is that adults try to "shield" children from how the world really is by make-believing the world is all flowers and puppy dogs. Adults would do better to teach children that the world is a place where people are always trying to fuck you over to get ahead because they only care about themselves, and to be on your guard at all times.

Learning that the world isn't the fairy tale that your parents and teachers spoon-fed to you as a child is unsettling at first, but when it passes you will be able to see the world how it really is, and hopefully be wiser from it. It's sort of like the first time you burn your hand on the stove, or date a woman. Once you have that pain, you will either learn from it and adapt to it, or you'll suffer the same fate again.

Life is tragic, life is painful, life is a constant challenge, everyone has had their ass kicked one way or another. This is not to minimize your experience or feelings. It is to say people beat that crap all the time and have good and happy lives. I think the main problem when young is a small moment (which can actually be isolated) is allowed to be the portal of ever increasing woes that appear to overwhelm when in fact they don't. For example: I failed the test, which will lower my grade, I'll fail the class, I won't get my degree, I wont' find a good job, life will be awful... it is so depressing... In fact all you have done is do poorly on one test and one can readily recover from that. We tend to use a little problem as a magnifying glass to feel awful about the fictional future. Put problems in their proper perspective. Women ARE a pain in the ass... but only your ass... they are not screwing up you whole life.

There is no question that society is fucked up, and it is taking a toll on more people than just you. Don't feel like you're alone. Some experience it worse than others. I think it's only going to get worse for future generations, and it would be selfish to want to bring a child into the world the way things are going. Yes, there is sin and temptation everywhere. If you're religious, pray. Either way, try and make the best of this life. Rediscover yourself. Always strive to do good things, and be the best you can be. All things will come to pass.
