Why Las Vegas? Is that your home location now? No judgements as I lived there for 3 years when I was USAF. Paid $192k for my house in Providence (NW Las Vegas, Hualapai and Durango area) and sold it for $245k so best of luck to you.

The casinos are always hiring for different jobs. Increase your skills and reinvest some of your income into yourself so you can work toward higher salaries.

When I was married, I was making about $80k a year, plus a ton of benefits. Food and fuel were basically free, plus health insurance and 401k. My wife was making about $25k. She basically got to blow her money. I would pay all the bills, paid for the vacations, and always paid when we ate out. Plus I still ended up buying her boots, clothes, watches,etc.

She left my son and I 2 1/2 years ago. I had to switch professions to be a single parent. I only make about $40k now. The funny thing is.....I have a higher standard of living now. I still pay all the bills, pay for all my son's needs, and still have plenty of money left over each month. I've been adding to my mutual fund even though I make half as much as before. THAT IS THE INSANE PRICE OF VAGINA.
