I dont know how many of you are home mechanics, DIYers, or electronic wizards; but I find it incredibly satisfying to look after my own stuff. Today I serviced my boiler and saved £100.

I generally do all these things for myself:

  • Home repairs (tap washers, painting, boiler repairs, window repairs, furniture repairs etc etc)

  • Car mechanics (servicing, replacing / bleeding brakes, wash & polishing paint, and other easy driveway stuff)

  • Motorcycle mechanics (servicing, most major repairs in the workshop such as replacing wheel bearings, etc)

  • Gardening (mainly just cutting the grass - but I have grown tomatoes and vegetables on occasion)

It is amazingly satisfying and saves loads of money.
I have also found skills are transferable - ie if you can change a temperature sensor on your boiler you can change one in your car engine cooling system.

Here's an idea: Perhaps MGTOWers on this forum could share their skills somewhere? for example I can advise how to do all the above but would need to ask someone how to resolve a computer bug.

What do other MGTOWers think?
