I'm not sure. At least in the UK. Healthcare and education are free, clothes are cheaper than ever, you can put together a decent weekly menu for two kids for under £30, and for Christmas my grandkids usually get a black Friday kindle for £30 each to last the year and £100 of toys each (also cheap as fuck these days). As my daughter lives by a park and the sea days out tend to be free, the only other expense I can think of is music lessons which are about £500 a year but worth it.
