Tinder is my favourite video game. What I like about it is through my dating years, meeting women and asking for a date IRL left the guy responsible for paying in order to 'impress' with no idea if $100 was going to lead anywhere. Typed messages make it far easier to establish if sex is likely to happen, to agree that the date will be free or split 50/50 or even better the woman has chosen the location and will be paying. It also sets the precedent that it is a text based relationship so dumping by text is acceptable, and as long as you regularly download your whatsapp conversations, it provides great metoo backup "as you can see your honour, prior to playstation5 saying he no longer wanted to see the accuser again as she was too clingy, she had messaged him after the alleged assault saying she had enjoyed the sex and wanted to see him again".

What I can say for certain is it is a completely aesthetical game. I have set up a new account with standard photos - me in a suit, me out with friends, etc and had 20 likes in the first hour. And deleted and set up a second account the next day with just one photo- me with my top off, abs showing, jeans unzipped and hand in my pants - and had 100 likes in an hour. Unfortunately due to the unique way in which Tinder works, 95 of the 100 were unattractive landwhales, single moms, or hard-core feminists who dream of being dominated by a real man.

I signed up to bumble over the weekend - mostly just to amuse myself - and I was horrified. I’m 39 and bumble decided I should only date women plus or minus a few years. Most of the women shown to me were fat, single mom, or looked really, really old for being in their mid to late 30’s. I saw 4 women that were attractive. Two had kids, the other two are ex’s of mine. One of those ex’s rode the carousel like it was a job and the other’s hypergamy is in overdrive. She thinks Tom Hardy is going to be knocking on her door any day. Sad state of affairs online, I pity any simp who would actually play that game.
