i work out for my own sake. i used to do martial arts for years, TKD, Capoeira, was very fun. Now I just work kettlebells at home and do stuff like mountain climbing in Colorado or long bike rides, no martial arts clubs nearby that I'd be interested in paying for. I'm on the solo path for training. i also play vidya games.

do what you enjoy man, people gravitate towards authenticity, and if they don't, so what, you do what you enjoy anyway.

I am trying hard to get back into working out. But thats not stopping me from gaming. I workout for an hour and a half 3 or 4 times a week and walk my dog nightly. But I still get my game time in. Maybe a little less, but I enjoy the hobby to much to quit. It's always better than a mediocre date.

The secret to happiness is quite simple. Diversify your interests.

I say that because anyone who bottles all of their interests into one or two things runs the risk of failing to love those things any longer. Lots of people become suicidal because they never allowed themselves to love more than a few things. So when those things no longer pan out or stop giving quality feelings back they have nothing.

So don't spend all day playing video games. Yes, they're awesome but so is spending time with friends / family, going to the movies, eating at diners, playing sports, etc.

Never let the creep of depression fool you into thinking you need love (or the love of a woman). It's not about that.

TRP is such a double edged sword in my mind.

They have good logic and values for the most part, but the overly-alpha-douchey mindset is so fucking annoying.

A lot of the posts are so counter productive it's not even funny. They spend their entire time bitching and complaining about women, yet spend all their free time hitting the gym and bettering themselves (physically) so they can fuck more women.... It makes sense if you don't think about it.
