I think what’s extremely important at this point is to NOT get married, having a girlfriend who doesn’t interrupt you, demand for things, gives you your own space could be beneficial, not to mention meals, sex and emotional comfort when applicable.

I am currently in an affair with a self-sufficient woman, she has a job, quite independent, I speak to her when I feel like it, she’s always happy to come over (I almost never go to her). And we’re in unison when it comes to my own time, she understands to leave me alone when I demand it.

It’s very important to either find an agreeable woman or to put her into submission, that doesn’t mean trying hard to dominate, rather to set your pieces in a way that serves you. She must know she’s replaceable.

Yes, even back in the supposed glory days for relationships.

Women will atleast triple the amount of expenses you have (talking before kids). So you will have to work more then twice as hard to compensate for it.

It is why boomers are still working so hard (some even work 80 hours per week even into there late 60s and early 70s) even though most of them could have been millionaires before they hit the age of 40 if they just remained single.

If you remained single, you will literally be able to retire a millionaire no matter how much you make if you want to.

I worked with a guy who was single, owned his home outright, paid cash for his car, had savings, investments, and no attachments. He married a divorced woman with two daughters who lived with her parents, bought the big house, new furniture, pool, her a new car, and had over $100,000 in credit card debt. That's not a typo, one hundred thousand owed on credit cards. Naturally wife didn't work, she was too busy spending. The daughters fought all the time, mom was clueless about her kids. That was his life.

The financial suicide comes from marriage, cohabitation and kids. It's fine to have a girlfriend, so long as she doesn't live with you.

There’s a huge difference being married or just being in a LTR.

I’d avoid both but especially marrying.

I just got out of a relationship and though she honestly was great I have committed myself to become rich as fuck and focus on myself for the upcoming 10 years. All my friends who are married or have girlfriends are skinned. It's like going to college, society tells you to fucking study and then you find out that you just wasted a small fortune on an education that will not help you one single bit becoming successful. Same with relationships and getting married.

Idk, my ex paid my utilities all the years she lived with me. I saved the money and when I kicked her out I was able to use that money to buy my next house with cash. Ended up being 35 grand she saved me

All that really matters is what makes you happy. If you end up finding a SO and she makes you really happy but spends a fair amount of money. She's worth it. If you don't find a SO and you are happy with money then that's ok too.
