I see this mantra being repeated everywhere - on the news, internet and IRL. Every time you google something along the lines of drunk rape you'll always get a page full of "drunk man rapes woman".

IMO this is bullshit. Even a moderate amount of alcohol lowers inhibitions but this is no excuse to claim that you were taken advantage of. What is really absurd is how these women claim that they were too drunk to consent and therefore it was rape even if they were still mostly functional and had only a drink or two. How I see it is they lower their inhibitions, might literally fuck around for one night with somebody they normally wouldn't consider and immediately regret it once they sober up and ditch responsibility by crying rape and sending the poor bloke to jail.

And besides, why is it that men are held solely accountable for this? Aren't they also slightly under the influence of alcohol? So then wouldn't women also be committing "rape" for having sex with them?
