Howdy. I'll keep this short and sweet. It is ideal for one to remain single in order to captivate in having freedom and making self improvements that will benefit oneself, however we do have members that partake in relationships. That is their prerogative.

Main thing to take away from going your own way. Say no to marriage, say no to cohabitation, and aim to do yourself a favor and be progressive in ones goals.

Don't get into any legal binding contracts with women (marriage, cohabitation) because the courts will always favor women.

Purist would, and obviously have, tell you that you don't marry or cohabitate. I tend to agree in this current climate that those are very wise words, and should be followed, particularly with modern women.

I personally believe that there are only two bars to entry to being MGTOW. You can be anything: Married, unmarried, virgin, experienced, gay, straight, educated, uneducated, whatever. The two bars that I believe to be applicable are: 1. Be a man (the kind with a penis). 2. Be aware/informed/woke/whatever you want to call it to the bullshit that society feeds you, and gynocentrism in general. With that knowledge you can make informed choices about what you want to do GOW and what you don't. For some that could mean a lifetime of P&D, others monk, others still like myself who are still married, but see the truth, but are going to see where the winds of fortune blow the marriage in the end.

I believe that the basis of MGTOW is rooted in not compromising your values, safety, future, finance or any other aspect of yourself to suit another. To not support another person who has no intrinsic value to yourself. To not value another person above the value that you hold to them. This could be applied across the board really, but its been my experience that men, even shitty ones who rebel against it, understand the concepts of loyalty, integrity, selflessness, duty and honor on a level that is damned near unattainable by the "fairer sex". To exemplify my point, look at a blue-pill man He might misguidedly fight to the death with another guy because he insulted m'lady's honor. In doing so he exemplifies the ideas of duty, honor, selflessness, and fidelity to that woman. Where he is wrong is when he takes for granted that it will be reciprocated by her if he were in similar circumstances. That's why for a long time men were getting, and still are to an extent getting taken to the cleaners in divorce rape. "I would never do that to her, so it can only be assumed she will never do it to me." No.. as we all know that is wrong thinking in the modern age. The point being, I believe that we can truly have a kinship with a man, built on trust and respect, that we cannot, or more correctly no longer can, have with a woman.

Circling back to the point of the post, I believe a guy can be anything that he wants and still be MGTOW as long as he is aware of the consequences of his actions, accepts them, and proceed down a life path that he himself has determined for himself with whomever he chooses but always on his own terms.

One cannot ignore the purists though, the fastest way to sabotage your sovereignty in yourself is to cohabitate or get married if you aren't of strong character and iron conviction. Best to leave it to wiley old bastards like me who jumped into the deep before the love and marriage mirage disappeared forever.

Go your own way is defined as actively, not passively, choosing your path in life. This is an ideal every man should be raised to see as the highest morale good. This can take many forms, but ultimately you make your own decisions in life and stand for something.

Monk mode or staying single is just an element that has arisen as it is a huge issue, but going monk mode is not and never is the point of MGTOW. Look at MGTOW as your path towards enlightenment and your own personal goals and dream. Find the things you value in life and Perdue them... and don’t tolerate those who would dangle your dream on a stick to manipulate you.

The general consensus is to keep your freedom. Typically, this can be in the form of a monk, where you just outright refuse pussy directly thrown at you. Girls hate it when the guy they want to ask them out just ignores them. Its really funny really.

The alternative is more red-pill leaning, being that go ahead and try your relationship.... but fucking watch out for your cornhole. MAINTAIN CONTROL OF YOUR BITCH. Women do not respect a weak man. They will take your money, and fuck Chad if you are weak. Also, at any moment, a female in this day and age can just say, "welp, I'm outta here... I fucked your friends, the kids you think is yours, ISN'T, and you'll have your papers soon for the child support you will owe me." And, believe me when I say, this imaginary story IS NOTHING compared to what some guys have been put through in this sub.

I'm a monk main, and I only really dabbled into redpill a bit in my army days, but recognized the uncontrolled drinking and sex of that lifestyle is not good in many ways. Monk is the way to go.

Going your own way is like saying I’m quitting sugar. Some people indulge once in a while and consider themselves off sugar, some people won’t ever let it touch their lips. These people generally don’t get the bad effects of regular sugar eaters.
