Mine is next year. Considering not going. When I was a junior, Assassin's Creed was the hip new game for the 360, and I learned a new form of hiding in plain sight unintentionally.
Being sort of an outcast, why would I purposefully integrate myself amongst the fuck sticks who taunted me as a kid? My two major accomplishments in life are surviving a deployment, and not having kids when I wasn't ready. I'll bet the reunion will be a nightmare.
What was yours like? Looking for insight so I have an idea what I'm considering going to. Was alcohol involved or was that an after-party sort of thing?

That's the image that comes to mind for me when the idea of going pops up. I'm partially interested in going, mainly just as a reason to see what's become of the school in all of its richness with traditions.
There were some good times to be remembered, but it was mostly of my own volition, looking back on it. It's hard to justify either choice when it's come to attending or not, but with some of the plans I've made for myself in the near future, I'm leaning toward just not going.
Hell, it's not like too many people would really remember me anyway, even if I was killed overseas. When you're dead, you're dead. Even if they had a huge thing where they drove the Hurst waving the flag and everyone who thought they knew me gathered around to mourn, it's not like I'd be around to enjoy it anyway.
We'll give it the fuck it adjustment. Just gonna keep working out and go into the Corps. Reunions sound boring anyway. I'd rather be out fucking, fighting, and drinking, while getting paid to do it.

I never understand this about the western world. I was an FOB so I missed out the highschool and school in general in the west. I directly went to the college in the west, straight from a 3rd world.
So whenever I chat up, the friends I have here, as an adult, who went to school here locally, they always say highschool was the worst. I was bullied etc.
I can never relate to that, I love my school friends and I still hang out when I go there. Some of my school friends are still my friends back home.
This is a strange phenomena that I dont get. We dont have bullying because, the teachers would have beaten the crap out of you if you have harmed another classmate.

That’s why soon I plan to have holidays my way. To see the D-Day beaches, visit Ardennes, town of Bastogne and Tank Museum in Bovington UK. War is stupid, just a bunch of kids doing what some old greedy fuckers told them to, killing and dying so they can make more and more money but it’s a part of our history and I’m gonna embrace it.

My ex used to ruin every fucking holiday. She was an off and on alcoholic and holidays were her favorite time to relapse. Almost every Halloween and Christmas became a nightmare and sadly it was the kids that suffered most
