Sorry I'm writing this slightly drunk.

I have been working since I was 16 because I had to leave home early. Never finished highschool. I'm 23 now. So this girl at my job had slowly been getting closer and more flirtatious with me over the past eight months. She was very attractive but she comes from a bad background. About 4 months ago after working for this company for 5 years I got sick of it and start applying to universities. By some miracle I got accepted into software engineering but at a school that is overseas.

We text occasionally and tend to hang around each other at work. I never asked her out because I don't want to get involved with people at work generally speaking. Naturally when I got my acceptance letter she was one of the first people I told. Literally the next day she started dating someone. I was kind of confused and thought that she was interested in me. I thought she was and she continued to talk with me and flirt with me.

Fast forward to my last week of work, she had broken up with that guy and she sits me down to tell me that she really wants to see even after I'm done working. She tells me she's glad she waited so long to start to open up to me because it would make my going away even harder. She suggests we go out for drinks for my last day. So I say yes and we agree to meet after my shift on my last day. This was my second last shift. The last thing I said to her after we hugged was "see you friday!"

My last day arrives, in the morning she texts me an emogii. I text her back "It's my last day!". I hear absolutely nothing from else from her all day. My last shift ends and I wait 1 hour. I hear nothing and she is no where. So I headed home.

Later that night she texts me "how are you?" And I reply "why are you asking? I was under the impression that we were meeting tonight? I waited an hour for you." She replied "Oh, I never heard anything from you today. I guess I didn't get your text. lets reschedule" (to paraphrase the conversation). So she claimed she never got my text and took that as me not wanting to meet up. So fine I was almost willing to accept that as annoying as it was.

But then later that night she started posting pictures on her instagram. Pictures of her essentially having a date night with drinks by the river. Even the next morning posted a photo of her and some dude alone by the river.

TL;DR Not only did I get stood up, but she went on a date with someone else and didn't try to even hide it.

I'm starting to think I must be fucking crazy. I must have misinterpreted all these signs over the months when she really wasn't interested.

So I blocked her on everything I could. I will be going to europe for a few years so I'll probably never see or hear from her again.

But at the same time I feel just destroyed. Girl friends have pulled this kind of shit with me before. I"m not sure if I just have terrible luck or if girls are just assholes. I'm so fucking done with dating and this bullshit. I wish I could stop but my body desires the physical touch! How do you just fucking stop and rise above it all?

I feel like this is almost the straw that broke the camels back. I'm starting to honestly feel like I'm becoming a horrible vengeful person because whenever I think I might actually get close and have a connection with someone the rug is seemingly pulled from underneath me. I feel a demon gaining power.

How do I become truely MGTOW and stop getting hurt by this shit? How do you not desire it?
