Just one occasion, I broke up with her then like 3 years later randomly calls me up complaining about her new bf. This happened to me twice.

One girl used to be my "friend". This was a decade ago, well in my blue pilled days. Well, it turned out I was only a friend as long as I was needed. Out of the blue I was ignored. Never heard from her again. I felt stupid especially thinking about all the stuff I had done for her. I sat her house through a vacation once. I took her to doctor's appointments. I helped her move, twice. I built her furniture for her. I watched her kids a few times. I would take her out for lunch once or twice a month. For years. She would use me as an emotional tampon all the time, especially over the phone. What did I get out of it? Pretty much nothing. No respect. Never a nice word. When I fell into a depression and just needed her to listen for a few minutes, (classic, right?) she was gone. She did the same to her husband by the way. He got depressed and ill. A few weeks later she filed for divorce and tried to get me to back her up on this decision.

One girl would use me to make her boyfriend jealous. He would go on vacation with his male friends. She would be angry he did not take her with him. She would invite me over and call him to ask him how things are going. Then she would tell him she has to go because she has a "guest". Of course, after fucking her until she hit the wall, he dumped her. She tried getting with me, but by that time I was already red-pilled. So long! :-)

As direct backups go, only once I know of. I’m not going to lie ... the pussy was great. I was new to the MGTOW philosophy at the time, so when I put her on blast for trying some mind games I went for a few years in monk mode.

Here’s an article I read recently, it’s super common.

It’s a form of partner insurance, since women don’t plan on building a home/life/retirement for themselves, they cast a wide net. It’s deeply rooted in their own insecurities. They know if they have a few competitors on the side they can get more out of the guy they are with. This is also why they want children, and not just one, it’s a form of insurance. We may not feel bad for a single unemployed woman but we will for an unemployed mother of 2. This also explains why mothers freak the fuck out when their kids grow up and move out, that was their social insurance.

If you are truly financially and socially independent you wouldn’t need to play all these games.

Also, I think it’s worth noting that women definitely account for the fact that they will be old some day. The same way men know that someday they will no longer be able to work due to old age. Both sexes stress over this and take measures to minimize a shitty later in life situation. Women just do it by becoming a life sucking vampires.

I have a kid so see my ex regularly. Also keep the peace so my life is stress free. Now I get to hear all her complaints and misfortunes in life.

Never, when I was blue pilled I was too much of a loser to even be the backup, when I started having things going for me I was red-pilled in the sense that I wouldn't let women friendzone me, them trying to friendzone me and keep me as the backup actually helped red-pill me.
