My former employer had female employees who were anointed senior level titles in positions where they had literally zero knowledge of the software involved, software skills ALL other people in the exact same position HAD to know and use every single day, all day. For example, in a different department than mine, people were asking why the fuck Becky was a Senior Designer when she had never used or even opened Pro/E or the other massive 3D modeling software they used. She never even worked in Adobe, basically opened Photoshop twice in like six months. She'd brag about not knowing the shit, so "don't even ask her to open it up, tee hee"... And there's her announcement on the corporate page. Senior Designer.

Which leads me to this: why does it seem that in the dating field, many women put their degrees and careers at the forefront as though that's all that matter to a man? Are they trying to subtly make a power move to show superiority?

It's their solipsistic nature. They cannot fathom that men and women wants different things in their partners, and since what they are mainly interested in a man is "What can he bring to me? Money? Fame? Power?", they truly believe that men are also looking for these traits in women... Hence successful women bragging to men.

They love when men brag how much money, fame and power they have (it means the man will take care of her and her children), so why would it be different when they brag the same way to men?

I have a female flatmate who has two degrees. That's one of the first things I learnt about her.

Can't cook or clean. Terrible at both.

It's funny, the men in my flat are better cooks, clean to a better standard and have a STEM degree or higher technical (or trade) education that makes them decent money in full-time employment.

Fuck it's hilarious.

Women conflate success with attractiveness, because that is the way they view it to a degree.

A woman's view of a man is greatly influenced by his ability to provide, and being of higher intelligence and accomplishment is an attractive trait in men to women.

So they use the same way of thinking towards others as they have for themselves...most people do...

Doesn't mean it will help them, lol, I think it has an opposite effect actually.
