You probably found it through a reference elsewhere on Reddit. This is MGTOW, or "Men going their own way". We're basically men that for a multitude of reasons have decided that it is in our best interests to no longer bother with the old model of "get married, have kids, work yourself into an early grave to pay the bills".

For some, it's the realization that this conflicts with their own interests. For others, it's the realization that the legislation around relations is skewed so far anti-male, that engaging in such relations is plain reckless - especially men who have gone through that, or have seen a close friend or relative go through that, only to end up destitute.

Others yet are looking at the current crop of women available and are just turning away in utter disgust. "We don't need no man", or so they say. Well, that's fine with a lot of us. Best of luck to you. Don't call us when things get tough.

Some men only find this after their illusions get shattered. That causes feelings of betrayal, resentment... a lot of anger. Justified, if you ask me. These men were lied to. The anger typically lasts for a few months, after which people calm down, stop caring about the past and focus on the future and their own happiness therein. However, the anger needs to be vented somewhere where it does not do harm. Rather a few angry posts on a quarantined sub, then someone feeling that the only way he can express himself is through violence - because when this crap does not get resolved? Yea, it's likely to get violent. When people feel the entire world is against them, going out with collateral seems rational in a weird way.

So that's what I see this place as. A watering hole for men who feel betrayed. We've been quarantined for... well over a year now. Activity hasn't slowed as far as I can tell. New men keep arriving. There's a saying here. "Mgtow doesn't recruit, we just watch them arrive."
Time will tell if this place can remain.

Some people are venting the anger which comes out as what you call "sexist". Others are moving on and creating their own way. Some are in between. I find it the only reasonable place on reddit.
