Oh come on. He HAD to have heard of the thing that is a woman.
Maybe he made a conscious decision after seeing women lie and cheat.

Heard*
[–]thebluthbananas0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Haha, he must have been like...
"What is this 'woman' you speak of? A vile creature of lies and deceit that cares about nothing but itself, destroys men's lives, and ruins everything it touches?
Well.....what are we doing to exterminate this plague?"
[–]Annual-Wonder0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If he was a monk he would know of the Madonna/Whore/child stories instead of AWALT sadly. I guess ignorance is bliss.

You weren't there man, the bruva didn't even know what a woman looked like; he was spared the pain they can inflict.

His life was one of legendary blissful peace

I really curious about this guy. Did he still innately desire women? A sexual release? What were his vices? His life seems so interesting
[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I'd imagine he had sexual urges like the rest of us; however, they were more likely limited to a physical release, rather than something mental triggered by seeing a woman dressed like a slut.
Therefore, he would have regarded a sexual urge as simply another physical urge like hunger or sleep.
[–]cunts_cunts0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Or shit.
Yeh.
[–]classicliberal18 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, but this guy didn't get to enjoy life. He didn't get to see a movie, play games or sports, walk on a beach, ride a motorcycle or waverunner, fly a plane, swim with dolphins, go to a nice restaurant, travel to distant lands, walk through a museum, learn about the Big Bang or the Standard Model, debate Kirk vs. Picard, engage in an epic put-down war with buddies.
He was brainwashed as a child into believing fairy tales and into wasting his life on meaningless rituals as he waited to die and get rewarded by a non-existent god with an imaginary afterlife. So he missed out on so many things he could have done in his one actual life. He didn't go his own way. He went the way he was directed to by the people who had complete control over his life since he was a baby. I don't see this as a good thing.

Eh, I mean in a way you might be right but also not really man. I could also make a list like you of all the other things in modern society that he didn't get to do that were BAD, like -- he didn't have to be force-fed adderall for not listening to his retarded female teacher, he didn't have to get bullied in school or at home, he didn't have to destroy his body with sugary foods and drinks, he didn't have to take on a massive crippling student loan, he didn't have to deal with sjws/blm/etc destroying the very core of our society and rioting and looting, he didn't have to deal with being cancelled for a funny joke he made on twitter 10 years ago, he didn't have to get his life ruined by a false accusation from a woman, and so on and so on. And I very much believe all this bad definitely outweighs the good.

But does that bad outweigh the good? You have not moved to a monastery to clean floors and pray for the rest of your life. Why not? Because you'd be giving up so much and for what? There are plenty of easier ways to avoid women if you want. Move to someplace isolated and work remotely or grow your own food and enjoy nature. You'd have more fun hiking in the woods or fishing on a lake than living in a monastery. And you'd still not see a woman if that's what you want. There are far better ways to go monk mode than becoming an actual monk.

You can make no such guarantees. My position stands. Closing yourself off from the vast majority of what life has to offer is not an optimal solution for happiness.
