That title is fake as shit. NY and NJ have higher death rates and a quick search shows South Dakota isn't anywhere near the top 10 states.

Typical fear-mongering from trash-tier media. SD's death rate hasn't spiked and infection rates are still in single digits. Infection rates aren't even meaningful anymore since the morbidity is so low and case totals seem to be inflated with flu cases. Death rates are the only thing that matter and they've been in low single digits for months.

However, SD has not implemented the draconian mask mandates and unconstitutional lockdowns many other states have. The partisan media is making a point of smearing and slandering states (particularly red states) which are not employing authoritarian measures in an attempt to discredit their governors and lawmakers who are respecting the constitution and individual liberty.
