I am currently shopping for a decent piece of land in the middle of nowhere that I can hang out and be me. Some rural area like Montana where most of the SJW shitshow doesn't happen.

I used to dream of a day i could have a place in the middle of nowhere and avoid all the drama of society. In the last decade it has become apparent to me that those in charge are insisting there to be no escape from their schemes and manipulations. So i don't believe such a place exists now.

I think the well-off men that stay do it for the luxury of a modern society.

I have plans very similar to yours though. How can I have a future here when I have the state just waiting to attack at any excuse, any perceived mistake?

To help the country improve itself. Hell, if I could I'd live like a monk in some monastery. But the truth is you are hurting yourself by being in a monastery or completely on your own secluded from everything.

By being with others in a diverse community you learn a lot more, and I think you develop yourself better than a monk or hermit. I would try it out though. Its a fun adventure to have and experience.

Google allegory of the cave. Those who escape the cave see the truth, and plato or socrates said you needed to force these people who escape back into the cave (the city). Why? To spread their happiness to all in the city and make the city overall happier. Sorry I like philosophy. It makes you think.
