The military is also another option aside from trades to set you up for a successful future. But yeah, fuck college. It's only getting worse so I can't imagine how bad it will be in a few years. Even if you didn't have to get in debt, it's just a big waste of time for the most part.

I got red pilled halfway though so I'm going to finish, but holy shit. Realizing how fake and bullshit colleges are was a rude awakening lol. I'm just glad I did wake up.

Plumbers make good money and because there is so much old plumbing around that is constantly breaking down you will never be out of work. Even in a shtf scenario you could still barter to fix someone's pipes.

Electrician would be the same, but to a lesser degree.

Trade school is worth it, though I think apprenticeship is better since it's an actual job experience plus, if you do well they might hire you. There are options.

You are correct by not going into college. It's a debt trap and you spend 4 years spending $100,000 with no guarantee of getting a job in that field. Many post-graduate end up working in Starbucks.

for a career in the trades many people like to see military experience. from what i under stand there is a "civilian program" for those who aren't going to be infantry (i heard about it second hand, pls look into it). they pay for school afterwards so you might consider allowing them to pay for a trade school to fill in the knowledge gaps, or go for engineering. just my two cents. good luck young man.

Trade school is where it's at, young dude 👍 I went to welding school, got a job through one of the teacher's recommendations, and have been doing tig welding and assembly for the last 4 years. But the truly best part is not having to go get brainwashed at fucking university, and also not having any debt, and making fair money while all the other people your age are still playing around in school, racking up debt. If you're a mature, hard-working guy, trade school and the jobs it'll take you to will only enhance that in your 20s. Plumbing, welding, electrician, HVAC are some solid areas to look at.

Less expensive, shorter program, and lots of demand for trade workers.

Machinists are in massive demand throughout the country as are most of the trades. Unless you screw off the whole time you will come out of the program with more than one job offer and be making money while your classmates have 2 if not 3 years of college left. It's pretty difficult to actually get done with a 4 yr college program in 4 yrs. They have so many prereq's and limited class availability typically means an extra semester or two to get done.

Lots of MGTOWs talk about trades and how good they are - I decided to leave a cushy office job to break my body doing a trade.

Everyone has preference and some people aren't cut out for trades, no shame in it.

Office jobs -fucking easy -good hours -easy on the body -often have to have a filter and not speak your mind, Withstand boring ass small talk -if you work the right job the pay is good -lack of freedom

Trades -hard work -unstable/infrequent work (some parts of the year, recessions) -shit work -not everyone gets paid well as they will have you believe

-freedom, You can travel the country and take holiday when you want, No 2 week off bullshit.
