Attractive women are the cause of violence in others.

When I was growing up, my older brother would take it upon himself to humiliate me in front of any pretty girls with whom we might be interacting, by making fun of me, provoking me into unattractive complaining (which I will admit was all too easy), or just straight up asserting his dominance by offering me violence. We get on pretty well now that we're both grown.

A couple of weeks ago, however, I was at a party he was throwing in a family space. His girlfriend managed to display herself mostly naked to me as I was exiting the bathroom, and throughout the evening would flirt mildly with me. I'm very non-confrontational, so I would basically just relocate myself within the party as quickly as possible. The next day I found myself the recipient of "accidental" violence at the hands of my brother. It could very well have been an accident, but he saw fit to chortle at my surprise, and his apology was insincere at best. Coupled with the incidents of the previous day, and the experience of my entire life up to this point, I consider this a ridiculous attempt to assert dominance regarding his girlfriend.

The thing is, I never, ever will be interested in my brother's girlfriend. The moment someone fucks my brother, they become a sexual nonentity to me: I do not need to also be Eskimo brothers with the man, and I consider it a triumph of remarkably poor taste. It is a secondary factor that I consider this woman to be vapid, conceited, and not all that attractive.

Therefore, I wish to shake my brother vigorously and shout "I'M NOT PLAYING YOUR RETARDED APE-MAN ALPHA GAMES. I don't deserve to suffer because your conniving wench wanted to yank my chain! Her lack of self-control is not my problem." I'll grant that he didn't beat the shit out me, as I hear about having happened in bars (an acquaintance of mine recently got his ass whupped because he was hitting on some random chick), but god-damn, we're supposed to be adults. I'm sick and fucking tired of playground bullshit surrounding people who to me contain the sexual allure of a shrubbery.

The more men that go their own way, and stop struggling pointlessly with their brethren over some provocative Helen of Troy, the better.
