The mom-and-pop private colleges cannot compete with state funded universities on price or size. The population they can pull from is shrinking, has less discretionary money, and is not pursuing an education but technical training or a rubber stamp.

The good news is that all those books that new feminist librarians took off the shelves, made it to book sales and online used books and are being bought and dispersed and protected.
