Yup.

I regularly take 6mos-1yr off work and just chill and enjoy my life. Now that my field has gone full remote, I don't plan on ever going into an office again and am slowly transitioning to part/time and on-demand work.

Despite all of this I managed to save up enough to buy a house, which I'm in the process of doing.

Work as little as you can get away with is the secret to a happy life, for me at least.

I'm the same way at 27. So close to quitting my job with nothing lined up. It helps when you have other skills that you can potentially turn into a full time income though.

I'm always glad to hear about people finally putting their foot down and saying "enough is enough" of giving their lives away for pocket change because "society" expects it. Work is good but I think people should be paid fairly for it and should be much more demanding about how they spend the waking hours of this one precious life.

Yes I’m like you it’s just that my motivation has gotten so bad I am basically coasting. I walk my dog, chill with my cat, read and play video games and work a Litttle. I occasionally get a burst of energy to try and get a better job which is totally within my reach but then some reminder of Clown Town knocks me back down.

I just really want everyone to be held to the same professional standards and for idiots to be held accountable, Which is basically a hopeless fantasy at this point, especially in Ca.

I tave quit from my job once, relaxed for a few months. Money was starting to run out so decided to make a small business. It didn’t work out, but learned alot. Went back to big companies with ex-business owner in resume, they loved it and hired me with more money than I was making before I quit.

It’s all about playing the game.

I think my job grounds me in reality a bit, but the day I can retire (if I can, the future just looks more and more bleak economically) I'd take it in a heartbeat. However, beyond my job I want nothing to do with anything. That's my time and I owe no one nothing, and that's final. I'm always getting asked to do on-the-side work, nope nope nope!

I’m with you except that I like nice clothes food cars and holidays as much as games and chilling.

Try and find something with a good work life balance that you can do from home.

I kinda feel the same way. I just want to make enough money to leave my parents' place and have a small apartment of my own where I can just have a simple life of playing video games with friends. Maybe I'll do a hike every now and then with them since it shouldn't be too bad. I also wouldn't mind spinning a plate or two.

Difference is it’ll actually have a big effect. When feminists did that men just did the work to keep the economy running so no one felt anything. If men did this most everything would come to a standstill. I bet then the media and politicians won’t support it and pass laws to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I retired once; it was boring as fuck. Now I work 4-12hrs a day, much better. Happiness is an illusion. There are only cycles of suffering and rest. Too much of either feels bad.
