As I get older I get more particular, and I just don’t have the same sort of patience and easy going attitude. In essence: life is short and I don’t want to waste it.

This change in mind set has also made me really sensitive to the faults of others. Don’t get me wrong, I know that I’m not perfect, but I have to live with myself and my flaws. As far as I may rub some people the wrong way, I truly enjoy being on my own company. I have many hobbies and a curious personality. I also enjoy work. Some would probably call me a workaholic. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I enjoy producing value, for myself and others.

Building wealth is obviously great because it gives you more freedom. But the praise one can get from a job well done (which often translates into building wealth for others in some form or another) can be very addicting. You can enter this loop of doing good work, getting praise, and making more money. It’s a great loop.

Finally, all that to say, I’ve noticed myself getting disappointed in friends and family. This is not something I thought about even just a year or so ago.
