I have been aspiring to be a writer do some time but have gotten caught up on realism in my writing. Since I am a nerd and find technical inaccuracies infuriating, I have spent a lot of time researching what reality is like. How airplanes fly, what guns sound like. Things like that which are never portrayed accuratly in media.

Then I cam across the red pill while researching relationships and women. I am currently raging pretty hard and kinda wanna punch a wall every time I remember that Titanic is the #2 highest grossing film and why.

However, one thing I am now hung up on is that I can no longer write the characters I wanted to write because they are completely unrealistic.

My problem is that I can’t help but have this nagging feeling that writing unrealistic characters to indulge my (and other’s) fantasies is just “wrong” on some fundamental level. It feels like telling a lie.

At the same time, I know that it is no less realistic than dragons and flying battleships. However, those are easier to explain to myself than a genuinely romantic female character.

Is it wrong? What do you guys think?
