I realize this article is a little dated. 2017. But both healthcare and technology jobs seem to be the wave of the future.

As I come to this sub, I see a place for men to bond and learn from each other and share their thoughts and ideas as to how to be better men. This article always stuck out to me after I read it. Being a male nurse, I see the benefits of my career choice regularly. Their are a couple things that I have to do as a male nurse, such as be extra cautious with females and others so as not to be falsely accused of anything. But being a nurse, I am basically in charge, so I just tell people to come with me when I need a second set of eyes and they do. Also I work in psychiatry, which has a lot of males(relative to the nurse field) and usually numerous cameras watching everything(most state hospitals have 1000's). Which is a great benefit to my personal security. Now I am not trying to convince all men to become nurses, but healthcare and technology offer above average salaries and the ability to use your mind to be better.

I am posting this as a blanket response for those looking to make a change for their careers or just starting out. Tech and healthcare are great choices, both offer entry level certificate, diploma programs that allow people to make a decent living. They also offer significant income the more education/experience you put in.
