It's a soft philosophy (it barely rates as that) around a couple commonly held ideas and mostly a life style choice defined by the individual, as I see it.

A movement implies it has a goal or political push. To call it a movement implies MGTOW is marching or trying to change anything external of the individual. Now some MGTOW might be part of the MRA movement to be an activist for mens rights, or some MGTOW might be bee keepers, but that's unrelated to MGTOW in and of itself.

It's a lifestyle choice, like traveling or doing drugs or working out, etc. It's a lifestyle. It can be a philosophy. But definitely not a movement, because:

We have no identifiable leader(s).
We don't make political demands.
We don't have political goals.
We just wanna be left the hell alone.

Red Pill is a philosophy. Doesn't "Movement" refer to action? So then by definition, MGTOW is the logical action deriving from Red Pill philosophy.

I would say MGTOW is more movement than philosophy though I usually only refer to it as "Guys that have had enough bullshit".
