It seems a standard rule that out of any crisis, something positive must emerge. And so, from out of the rubbish of all the sexual harassment and abuse allegations, we find a gem: our country is finally talking candidly about masculinity and the forces that shape it. We’re also talking about toxic masculinity and the common behaviors associated with it. This topic has always been difficult to discuss—it still is—but we are finally questioning things that previously couldn’t be questioned.

You mean just man hating dressed up with stupid words. So we're finally talking about, for the 40th year, "toxic masculinity", which like "patriarchy" doesn't exist. But since patriarchy turned out to not exist systematically, as that's easily debunked, they had to go directly after men themselves as the hysterical "boogeyman".

I’ve been discussing and writing about toxic masculinity and the pyramid-shaped patriarchy that fuels it, for several years.

I’ve seen and felt this imbalance in the microcosms of my own life, as well as the macrocosm of the bigger world. I’ve wanted to engage in dialogue about this issue without men taking it personally, and without men (or women) getting defensive.

I’m a huge believer in the idea that we can’t fight a shadow we won’t acknowledge. But until now, the world wasn’t ready, wasn’t listening, and wasn’t responding.

So you might understand why, after I wrote my first piece here at The Good Men Project, and after I received a comment that asked “What about toxic femininity?”, I rolled my eyes. “As if women are a bigger danger to society than men,” I thought.

A July 2017 report by the Atlantic claims that over half of murdered women are killed by romantic partners. Nearly one in five women is raped; compared to one in 71 men. These are just reported rapes, and doesn’t include other forms of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse. Men committed 88 mass shootings in the United States between 1982 and October 2017. Women committed two. So the notion that discussion of toxic femininity was an overlooked but critically important piece seemed part-and-parcel of our “whataboutism” politics, rather than a legitimate question.

Down at the end you'll see why they only went back to 1982, because in 1978 Brenda Spencer showed up in the news. Can't talk about her. So this is all narrative building and lies as always.

But then, I remembered that so much of our polarization in this country is due to our knee-jerk reactions, our unwillingness to talk to one another about difficult things, and yes, our eye-rolling, sarcasm, and condescension.

So basically toxic femininity and feminists like you who hate men, hate America, rape children, munch carpet, and support marxist authoritarianism?

So, let’s put the question back into play. What about toxic femininity?

Finally. O.k. Let's get this narrative going! Is it their inability to start their own business so they have to take over the work men do? Their inability to compete with men and therefore have to be propped up? You won't work a job where air-conditioning is not available? You suck down $5 coffee at Starbucks but fuck the child slave labor that picked the beans?

Oh right, children are only good for rape to feminists.

For the record, let’s note what are not expressions of toxic femininity.

It is not a woman who:

Shift those goal posts! Reee!!

• Expresses her anger or outrage at legitimate offenses.

Or she lies and makes 'em up! And you claim they're all legitimate! Name an illegitimate one!

• Attends rallies, protests, or marches to fight for equality.

Calls in bomb threats at MRA meetings! Attacks men in the street! You hate equality!

• Wears clothing not traditionally associated with femininity.

Sounds toxic!

• Expresses a contrary or dissenting opinion.

So when you make up nonsense, and get called out on your rape lies. That's not toxic!?

• Refuses a man’s advances.

No one wants you! Must be rape!

• Rejects prescribed gender roles.

By raping children every week! You are a rape advocate!

• Expresses feminist views.

Child rape should be legalized! #KillAllMen

• Isn’t sexually attracted to, or only to, men.

I have no problem with rug munchers! I can send you 50gb of movies on the subject!

In the cases above, it would be more appropriate to just call her a woman.

Feminism doesn't = women!

Having said that, toxic femininity is a real thing, and it is big deal.

Well after all the goal post shifting, and the man bashing, I am waiting for the list where you admit why you're bad people! I mean, it won't really be a big deal, but lets pretend you're discussing it!

In a different way and for different reasons than toxic masculinity, but we should discuss it because feminine and masculine energies are, like yin and yang, like a coin, two halves of the same whole.

Men and women aren't two halves of a whole. Are you retarded? I guess you'll be listing the same number, and levels of toxicity? I can hardly wait!

Before I go further, let me say that I use the terms “masculinity” and “femininity” archetypally. They are not labels, but rather descriptors of energy.
