Be a wage slave, try to save up as much money as possible, and by my mid 50s hope to have enough money/investments to do whatever I want and not have to be a wage slave anymore.

My life is great, and I don't need to aspire to anything but doing what I want when I want with a minimum number of people making demands on my life.

I've achieved the degree of personal and financial success that I desired, and I feel that avoiding the commonplace attachments (wife and kids, and long term commitments) I afforded myself the flexibility to do all the things that I wished to achieve professionally.

I'm completely honest with everyone I meet, and that includes women, and there hasn't been a shortage of those either. Each and every one in the last 20 plus years have known that any relationship that they might imagine they have with me has a short shelf life.

I'm a pretty happy guy who always lived up to the standards that I set. Every day I reflect on my good fortune, and grab life by the lips and yank as hard as I can.

Hey BTL,

Right now my energy and focus is towards improving myself physically and as well in a career sense. Bicycling, running, eating healthier, etc, is something I neglected for far too long and recently i've been making fantastic strides towards overcoming the burden of unhealthy lifestyle choices & decisions.

Career wise i'm pursuing an on-going apprenticeship for Carpentry. I'm not sure where you're from, but here in Alberta the construction trades make damn fine decent coin.

You had mentioned in reply to a comment that living by your own standards is generally healthier than living by the standards of others. This as well is an essential part of my existence - and has been for quite a few years.

I'm not a sociable type. I like to spend my time alone, ya know? I don't listen to loud music. I don't do parties. I don't go to the mall. I don't even go out to the pubs anymore... I put the "men going their own way" above all else. The most social thing I ever do is post on Facebook... which btw, I have a grand total of about 45 "friends" ... whereas I look at others who have hundreds and even a thousand or whatever meaningless number. Obviosly, reddit as well. As you had mentioned - living by your own standards is healthier. I live by my own standards, my own rules via the bachelor-life, and I pursue whatever I so desire with very little to no... outside participation.

It's easier this way. That's why i'm more interested in MGTOW as opposed to TRP. I don't play 'the game'... To me 'the game' doesn't exist. I have no motivation to deal with other people on any emotional, spiritual, platonic, etc, level. For me - the best life is one of seclusion. Of non-interference. Of self reliance. Ontology. Whatever you want to call it. I pursue my own definition and interpretation of masculinity.

I think Kenny Hickey (from Type O) described my outlook on life best in his 'Sex is Dead' series of short stories when he wrote (and I might be off by a word or two) ...

How do you people think about your current lives and what do you aspire for?

Economic independence. I want to become either a paramedic or a PTA, maybe a nurse (probably not, fuck that noise), and have my own place. I'm a pretty simple dude, I don't need much in life; a decent computer, a phone, a car, good food and a kitchen set, a mat to sleep on, a place to meditate... maybe a TV to hook up to my computer to watch movies larger than 16x20 inches.

I'm not completely closed to women. But I would never date an American or western European woman. It would have to be a woman from SE Asia, and even then she'd have to be pretty great.

Decorate my life? I don't decorate things. I'm not gay, metro, nor female. I want to save money, hopefully earn a pension, and retire in a third world shithole with low rent and cheap pussy.
