Men are biology suppose to be simps.

We are suppose to get a girl, live for the girl, then die for the girl.

When a man gets hurt enough, out of self defense, his body lets him see the truth.

He then can recognize what people really are

...people form friendships because they can get some benefit from you.

...family loves you for you have there gene.

...relationships are just a trade of good genes, protection and/or comfort for sex and attention.

...and even if he tries to get involved in the blue pill world again, it is no longer the same.

It's a curse.

It's why blue pillers are "happier", it doesn't matter how shitty his life actually is... it's just what he is suppose to do.

It's incredibly lucky to be blind when everything around you is disgusting to look at.

However this truth grants him freedom, as he no longer needs status, attention from others, or any other dependency on others for his own happiness.

He can make himself happy and chase what he wants too.

Link's entire purpose of existence is to protect Zelda and fight Ganon. It's not really simping when God created you to be a literal white knight.

In the context of Breath of the Wild this makes sense as the power that rests within Zelda as well as the rest of the female royal lineage is the only thing that can truly stop Ganon. Especially since the female lineage carries the spirit of the Goddess Hylia, the original creator of Hyrule. Thus a royal knight is appointed to protect the princess as she is to train and discover the power to expel the evil within her.

IRL However this is a Calamity sized no no.
