My comment:
Those of you ignorant of history may want to know what marriage actually was throughout history.
It is a contract for the production and produce of a woman, her womb, for the protection and produce of the man: resources and security.
Thus it was illegal for adultery: Man giving resources to another woman. Or, women giving her production to another man.
To deny a man her resources would be as illegal as him denying his resources. Thus a woman may not to deny her man and vice versa.
Now society has changed the entire definition of marriage now, so the contract is invalid. Don’t get married if it’s not for shared resources.
Otherwise you just get fucked.
BRING THE DOWNVOTES!

You do know that women were property for the majority of human history?
Private property is 💯 about resources.

“The marriage paper?” There’s such a thing as this you imagine?
You’re talking hundreds of years of common law and thousands of years of custom before this.
Not to be rude, but you’re showcasing a serious lack of education and understanding here.
You have to look at common law definitions of women and marriage.
Love marriage is almost completely a modern concept post Victorian era, named from Queen Victoria.
Furthermore, thousands of years in other cultures also underpin this idea.
These include dowry and inheritance as well. Our society has a real dearth of knowledge after shoving women into all of our schools.
It’s like knowledge stopped being conveyed after the 90’s.

I don’t need to look because I already know. And you don’t care. So what why trouble me? You are woefully ignorant of how laws formed. They began as far back as the Talmud and Codes of Hammurabi.
However more importantly things that would be obvious then are suspect due to the ignorance of our populace. Don’t expect spoon-feeding if you want to learn. And if you don’t care, please don’t bother others.
