I'll be working in a warehouse. The morning shift is pretty early but I think I'll manage. Is there anything I should know about the modern workplace in general, or just what I should focus on to do a decent job?

I don't know what kind of advice for working in a warehouse nowadays, I hope the other can help you. From me

Always on time, don't ever be late, no excuse.
Understand what is your job - what they are asking you to do before you say that you can do it.
Don't skip meal time and learn to calculate your budget.

I'm getting pretty anxious about this but the only choice I have is to overcome this feeling.

I am proud that you are having your 1st job. Have confidence, you figure it out already that you just need to do it, you made your choice and that's a good one. You will survive.

Be punctual. Learn all you can about your work and things beyond your work. Coworkers are just that, coworkers. That being said, you can be friendly without being friends.

Leave your phone in your locker. Sometimes it's company policy to do that but even if it isn't your phone's just a distraction.

Have a good, industrious attitude. See things from your boss’ perspective: He has things to do, customers to please and money to make, the last thing he needs is to be a baby sitter, so be an asset rather than a liability. Do what you’re told without complaining, grumbling or sighing, and no rolled eyes. Also be pro-active when you know what needs to be done. This will set you way apart from most 19 year olds.

Don’t reveal too much about yourself to coworkers. They’re usually simps and women and will use what they know about you against you. Especially the women of course, avoid them as much as possible. Don’t air your MGTOW ideas, that’s not the time or place and it will get you in trouble. Just get in, do your job well and get out. Aquire money, disregard hoes, rinse, repeat.
