If you would indulge me with a bit of set-up context, then I think some of you may find this helpful as it relates to letting go of women:

I was at work, listening to FDR podcasts with headphones, and I was around 350 deep at the time. I heard an interesting idea about mothers tending toward not allowing genuine sadness or grief in children, especially sons (e.g. "boys don't cry", or "let me make it better").

Grief and anger both arise from situations that we would like to be different. If you're angry at women, for instance, the purpose of the anger is to express that you'd like things to be different (mothers spanking children makes me angry, for instance, because violence doesn't fundamentally solve problems - it just makes compliant children, or slaves under a whip, or whatnot). I think it's appropriate to be angry on some level at the feminist "tender years doctrine" which separates fathers and children... but... will it change?

The system is massive, the inertia is such that single mothers, child abuse, exploiting men, and many other deep-seated problems will persist.

It will not change within our lifetimes, as I see things. In fact, I think things will get worse before they get better because the problems are still seen as fringe (after all, we're supposedly a small minority of basement-dwelling neck-beards with no real grievances). It will be a long time before the intellectuals change gears, teach kids something other than gynocentrism, and society changes on the ground-level... only after things fall apart because the problems have become too large to ignore will people, then, make an effort to change.

Change and grief...

So, I explained how anger (one of the stages of grief) is an expression of a desire for things to change... But what if they won't?

Realistically, men's grievances won't be addressed anytime soon, probably not within our lifetimes (though I respect advocates for men - I see them as doing little more than publicity work, and nothing too substantive... nor could they affect change). So what then?

Acceptance.

As men, as men going our own ways, we owe it to ourselves to be realistic. We have, already, embraced difficult truths, and, though the transition to situational awareness was painful, we are better off disabused of our delusions.

We are better off keeping half our stuff and not placating princesses, nor jumping into the meat-grinder to protect women (either from themselves, or from foreign bogeymen, or dressing provocatively and walking through dangerous areas).

We are better off disabused of our delusional society. We are better off going our own way and not their way.

But... are we any better off being angry at women or society at large? Does having higher blood pressure because of something we cannot change benefit us?

So, why is it that mothers tend not to let boys feel sadness? Genuine grief?

...When you feel loss, and come to accept it over time, anger turns to sadness. Sadness is a kind of acceptance that things (though you might wish were different) - will not change.

Women are not going to suddenly place a higher premium on intellect when good looks open more doors (literally and figuratively). The incentive structure (such as wealth redistribution systems of government programs and hiring quotas) is not going to change. And even if it does change, then it will only be because things have gotten to a critical mass, and the weight of all the single mothers, inept college grads in women's studies, consumer culture, etc. crushes the system... not because of anything we did (other than neglecting a corrupt system).

Acceptance is inherent to sadness (as opposed to rage). Women, mothers, want you to fight! To strive! Not to accept loss - never to give up (even if it is a foolish war you're fighting, at great cost, with little reward, if any). Women love soldiers. They want men to be their toy-soldiers because it benefits them greatly to have an army of men at their disposal. Sadness has no place in that - only rage.

"I wish you weren't so inept! Why can't you take care of yourself? Why do you invite so much drama into your life? Why do I always have to solve your problems for you?" This thinking gets things done for women who coyly feign ineptitude... so long as men allow it. And men, en masse, incentivize bad behavior of that kind.

It's rare that a man would be coddled, and for it - he grows strong in his independence and developed skill.

But rage strings him along... while sadness sets him free: when he accepts that loss (of delusional bliss with women as they stand in this society) - when he realizes that he was lied to, and that lie of happiness is false (and, thus, lost to him) - then he can accept reality, and freedom within reality.

Until you know what is real - you can never be free.

Women (and many men) construct a prison of the mind, and brainwash children into these social constructs (such as soulmates and fairytale endings)...

It's sad to think of the time lost and the things I suffered as a child (which, at the time, I thought was normal and right... though it is normal to lie to children, it is not right to lie, especially to impressionable children). As a boy they took perhaps 1/3rd of my erogenous skin - as if my pleasure in life was immaterial. As a boy I was spanked and beaten, as if I were a toy-soldier meant to comply, and insubordination was to be met with violence. As a boy I was told that love was the highest ideal and could conquer all hardships, as if my place in life was, at best, a willing slave.

It hurts, but I accept the losses. I reject the lies, and embrace reality. I found that lies don't make a person happy - only reality and truth hold true happiness.

Eventually sadness gives way to normalcy and happiness, but it is purposefully stunted in men and boys.

A man needs to accept that the NAWALT is not coming to save him... or that, if you just had a powerful enough magnet - then you could find that needle in the haystack. It is a waste of precious time.

And trust me - your time is precious. It is scarce. You must, necessarily, economize your time and life - get the most out of it.

Grieve for your loss in the fullness of your humanity. As ManWomanMyth said; men don't have a feminine side. You are a man, and men can grieve, I know; I've buried a man who was my best friend, and I've buried my father - a man can grieve.

The fullness of human emotion (which, perhaps, only belongs to men, and perhaps only to those who have overcome their social conditioning)... allows a man to truly feel the depth of happiness which is possible from the willful life; Your own way; To be happy in your own style.

And, perhaps, if you're a charitable man, then you can also shed a tear for the masses of women who will live their entire lives in a shallow miasma of trivial bullshit - never feeling this life to the fullness that the natural world allows us to experience.

Those poor bitches...

And then... you move on.
