This term is used by women (and some men) to get men to do things they don't want to do.

(Feel free to share any example where "man up" has been used to coerce men. Off the top of my head, war. Some men want to go off to war but most only do so out of social coercion. I can't think of demanding more, no other shaming compares to this.)
