I don't know,something about it just seems wrong. It's great that it can be done and that science and technology has come so far, but do we really want to become an asexual species that just goes down to the local clinic and they grow you a mini me?

I look at this sort of stuff like the last ditch effort to save humans if one of the sexes were to be wiped out from a sex selective disease. Unfortunately the darker side of it is it gives the fuckheads at the top even more of a reason to not give a shit. "We'll just make more".

One thing that's for certain is that the males will win the artificial human war. While women can impregnate themselves with artificial sperm, they still have to eat, sleep, breath, shit, and piss all the junk they get cravings for during the pregnancy, basically causing no difference than a natural pregnancy and no evolution for humanity.

Artificial wombs on the other hand can be constantly monitored and fed selective foods and liquids to ensure that the child grows into the ideal human. All the vitamins, minerals, and possibly even genetic manipulation as the fetus grows.

Once the artificial womb is perfected, it is literally game over for women.

If I understand the article (I only skimmed it) it hasn't been done for humans yet, but even if it were, it sounds like you'd still need an actual womb. So we still need the artificial womb, but this is still one step closer to make women 100% obsolete.
