Underwater welding death rate even higher. 166 to 365 per 100,000, depending how you measure it. Only about 3,000 of those guys though. Women are less than 10% of enrollees (not the graduation statistic, just sign up).

Society is following a pack of bullshit lies. Yesterday, purely by chance, I discovered something. Both the World Economic Forum and McKinsey are saying that 'Closing the gender gap by 25% will increase GDP by 25%'. But neither of them offer an explanation as to WHY or HOW this magical fiscal benefit will come about. Here's some more BS from the World Economic Forum: 'We consider a "full potential scenario" in which women participate in the economy identically to men, and find that adds up to $25 trillion to annual global GDP by 2025, compared to a remain-as-normal scenario. This corresponds to roughly equivalent to the size of the combined Chinese and US economies.'

How did I find this out? (I must admit, it's not my normal reading material). Well, yesterday, I was pretty incensed at that Ann Francke woman. She's Chief Executive of the Chartered Management Institute, and came on the BBC to say that men shouldn't be allowed to talk about football at work..... because it was the first step towards them bragging about their conquests, and making women feel uncomfortable. This is a powerful woman, and she has written a book, called 'Create a Gender-Balanced Workplace.' Guess what mantra she preaches in the first few pages? "Both the World Economic Forum and McKinsey agree that closing the gender gap by 25% will increase GDP by 25%." It seems that if you just keep repeating the lie, it eventually becomes true. Have a look at her book on Amazon, you can read the first few chapters free.

Well, you know what? If the bullshit is really valid, let's have gender equality throughout all workplaces, including the top 20 dangerous ones. Make it law. Don't allow them to cherry pick the boardroom, where they're already winding men round their little fingers, and bragging about it. Believe me, I've seen it.

I’d really be interested to know what is considered a job related injury. Men only accounting for 52-53% of all workplace injuries just doesn’t seem right. My guess would be the definition is skewed to make the amount of women’s injustices seem way higher.
