I have been arguing with myself about my mother, this woman has loved me but has disrespected me as I have gotten older. As I explained this to my family my brother and father tell me that I should give her a break due to being mom. This just doesn't sit well with me and I don't understand how they deal with her. She had a tough child hood and I feel like they give her a break due to that yet I have been able to bet my alcoholicism. I just don't see that as an excuse. I'm just so confused based on this love and hate relationship going on with my mother. Bit of an rant but any input would be appreciated.
