How it only has 2 stars currently, is a telling sign that the mainstream doesn't look past the surface.

These guys all have their moment alone to work through their motivation to achieve a perfect physique and the source has a common feature.

They were all abandoned, forced into their own way when the system that appraised their value disappeared, and their life went with it.

The MGTOW themes are strong. There is not one woman featured in this film.

The quintessential scene I took a lesson from was with all the guys sitting around the fire at night with the veteran, Greg Plitt (RIP) softly challenging the youngest, Jeremy Buendia, who has already won Mr. Olympia, whether he feels sacrifice in not going out to the bars or eating a hamburger when he just feels like it. Buendia says he wishes he could be like those other guys, but Plitt re-frames the test to demonstrate that Mr. Olympia is a win that won't ever go away, but the memory of the bars, the girls, the hamburgers will take from you without ever returning value back, and the value you are paying in is your precious TIME. (The Blue Pill is lie to perpetuate distraction from higher levels of accomplishment.)

The surprise counter-philosophy came from Fitness Model, TJ Hoban. He has never built his body for competition. He books films and magazine covers to make money. The fuel to build the body that makes the money is provided for by endorsement deals.

The market determines how perfect his physique is. There is an Objective numerical value to it.

This contrasts to the competition bodybuilders reliance on Subjective judges to define perfection that they will manipulate their physiques to meet. The weakness of External, rather than Internal validation, is the take home message.

I'm curious how other community members interpreted the lessons this film presents. I approve of it as MGTOW propaganda.
