Men's feelings are inconvenient to women, and you can't get them to love you. You simply cannot contribute enough to her life, because there is no satisfying an entitled person who views everything you do for them as something they deserve by virtue of their existence, someone who's been taught that their giving you their mere attention is some favor to you in itself that you should "dance" for. The truest words ever spoken were by Cyndi Lauper, "'girls' just want to have fun", an empty, superficial and surface level fun, and they pursue that at the expense of anyone and anything, all while society claims them the possessors of emotional depth and love in its truest form and shoves that shit down men's throats. The so-called "love" they lie about having for you is based directly on your ability to provide that "fun", whether it's emotional fulfillment, financial stability or sex, and being a human being with actual needs and wants stands in the way of it, making you disposable and the next "fun" option the go-to.

Shit, eventually, no matter what you do, the "fun" you provide gets stale or is deemed lacking in comparison to the "fun" the next guy appears able to offer and you are replaced.

It really is that simple, and it took me a long time to accept the reality of it. Placing this here in case it helps someone else save the time I lost.
