Trust is not necessarily a dangerous concept. It only becomes reckless when you apply it without reason.

I think it would be better stated as: Don't trust anyone blindly, instead assess why you would want to trust them and what they would benefit from the relationship.

For example, I don't trust a car salesman, because I know they would screw me over royally to make a few extra bucks on commission. The relationship is sour because of laws that prevent manufacturers from selling to you, the consumer, directly. So it creates a toxic environment for consumers to do business in. On the flip side, I would trust my neighbor to sell me their car. They don't stand to gain much from a 1-time sale and the loss over time by dealing with a bitter neighbor is much worse.

A lot of it too isn't just people trying to fuck you over, but just people doing stupid shit that they didn't calculate the consequences for them and the people around them. A lot of people on drugs are like this, they have no concept of "Hmm I could save this 40 dollars but hey it's only 40 dollars, right??! I'm gonna spend it on drugs YOLO!" Then they wonder years down the line why they are struggling to make rent, have food on the table, and gas in their car at the same time.

I have a few really good male friends who have been my friends for a very long time. They are my brothers. I would trust them with my life and would take a bullet for them as well. One problem many men face in society currently is that many do not have these close friendships. At one point in time, male best friendships were considered the best and deepest relationship a man could have. It was actually considered superior to a man and a wife because women were considered inferior to men back in the day. I definitely agree you should be wary of people in general and not trust people you don't know very well or people who exhibit bad character traits.

I've made friends in the past year or two who at first were cool but then certain traits like lying a lot (as in bullshitting nonstop), or people being overly emotional, etc stopped me from getting too close to them and I usually end up cutting these people out of my life all together which I believe is the true embodiment of going your own way. Analyze people and get to know them, there's nothing wrong with making new friendships and one day if a proper symbiotic relationship is formed over many years, that full on trust or near full on trust can exist.

I don't trust anyone who isn't redpilled. This includes family and friends. I am slowly removing everyone from my life who isn't redpilled because they're too emotionally unstable and thus a liability to me. Bluepill friends will corrupt your values and bluepill family members will corrupt your decision-making.
