Like many of you I used Tinder, chased girls etc. Recently I decided to end it after a conversation with a girl on tinder. After not replying for 4 days, she told me she didn't use it much. We had a small conversation going and I asked her what was she looking for on Tinder. She told me it started as a joke between her friends. And that she kept it as a test, to see how men behave /react. I felt like the biggest idiot. There I was, paying for Tinder Gold, chasing and working on getting dates, while girls were treating this app like a joke or a test. It was a wake up call. Tinder deleted. (Note: Not blaming the girl or anything. This was my fault for investing so much time and energy in an app.)

After deleting it, I decided to stop messaging first the girls I had already gone out with, to see if they messaged first themselves. Eventually only one did so, but once. She never took the initiative again.

One of the girls I went out with had told me that she is very selective (like all girls), and that she never speaks first on tinder. I asked her why, if she likes the guy. She shrugged. I was like.. what? Eventually she told me she is not comfortable in talking first and generally didn't feel like it. She said usually men message first and that's how it should be. So much for equality.

Another girl I met, as friends after matching some 8 months before, told me that I was the 3rd person she ever met on tinder. She was very selective, Im like ok I respect that. Conversation is flowing and she showed me her tinder. Over 100+ likes. Keep in mind this girl, although very nice in character, is a 5/10 on a good day. Then she showed me the conversations. Yikes. So much desperation. No wonder she felt like a Goddess on tinder. She had so much to choose from!

In all honesty , although I had countless dates and even got laid on occasions, I don't think tinder is worth it. Too much effort for very little reward. Don't waste your time (and money).
