I remember when my ex cheated on me with one of our mutual friends. I found out 3 years after it happened through word of mouth.

She was delirious; crying, begging me on her knees for forgiveness. At that time, I was shocked about what had happened but I was even more astounded by the fact that she seemed to be extremely sorry... that she got caught, that is.

She gave absolutely zero fucks about the fact that I had effectively been her cuckold for the past 3 years. All she cared about was herself, and I will never forget how fucked up I thought that was! All she cared about how her peers would view her if word got out.

Thankfully, I have grown a lot since then, but I held a grudge for a long time. Guys, if anything like this has happened to you (and it probably has), there is only one way to get through it and make it a positive experience - Talk about it. Tell someone about your anger, and let your brain put your feelings into words. Sounds gay, I know, but the only way you will come out of experiences like this as a stronger man is if you have a clear idea of what has happened and why. When you put an experience into words, you get a MUCH better idea of what has happened, and the life lesson will be that much more ingrained in you. Also, there is research that shows that talking about a negative experiences lowers your cortisol levels that were raised as a result of that event. Lower cortisol levels = you live longer.
