Keep in mind that if you tell anyone, you will get a lot of responses of “Who hurt you?”

That response is a way of twisting the perspective away from the unfair reality that men face. Rather, it manipulates the conversation to be about how the real cause of the problem must be because the man is “hurt” or “damaged”. And it is implied that men are “hurt” because they deserved it.
