Personally, I find all moral and metaphysical systems complete bullshit and the path to freedom and joy is a process of stripping away.

From my observation: the only thing that separates a man from animals/women is our ability to reason and delay gratification. Chasing sex and pursuing what schopenhauer called the 'will-to-life' is what holds back men from their liberation.

It's certainly difficult to go against our natural/cultural programming; a man's evolutionary instinct is to continue the species and be spades for women - but if a man wishes to free himself from the pointless graveyard of birth and death: he needs to use his developed reasoning skills and pursue freedom.
