I get the responsibility piece. I have never thought about it as a loss of rights, but in a sense it is. For example: if women get free birth control and state funded abortions, the rights a man may have surrounding that decision are non-existent.

Being a comfortable hermit is my endgame. That's where I'm at, brother. It's nirvana. Giving up my former emotional reactions to the fucked-upness of the world is like riding in the HOV lane on the MGTOW highway. People make their choices, and some of them are destructive and noisy and just plain stupid. But that's none of my business. But I will give them the same peace I seek: STFU and leave me alone. When I'm gone the world will scarcely notice, but there will be less trash because I pick it …

Well, that's why it's called MGTOW and not Men Fixing Broken Shit, everyone's doing their thing, which is great. That's funny - Men Fixing Broken Shit. In my experience - personally and professionally - MGTOW tend be Men Creating Cool Things.

I disagree, men continue to be disadvantaged in the society and continue to loose more and more rights Like what, the right to go your own way? I don't recall anyone taking any rights away from me. I know that happens in many countries, but I have yet to lose the right to be myself and do what I want. I just have to accept the consequences of my decisions against the responsibility I need to take if my choices go awry. What rights are you talking about?

The ideal state would be to forgive society altogether but that's a bit unrealistic, I'm not asking you to forgive but to move on and spend no more time obsessing over things that are neither in your control nor in your future. These are wise words. Indeed, I think it's possible to move beyond a desire to grant forgiveness by going your own way. Obsessing over things we cannot control is the heart of resentment, I think. That disempowers us and limits our choices. It's always been easier to blam…

Observed that in my own experience. I didn't just up and leave - but I left after the relationship entered marriage expectations, or move in together. Each woman knew I had been divorced raped and had no interest in marriage and limited interest in cohabitation. I like women - I'm a straight male; but am nonetheless MGTOW monk and likely always will be. Marriage is a contract I want no part of.

Huh. The husband/father is an active-duty military officer. What destroyed his marriage and broke their family? An incestuous wife.
/r/MGTOW05/12/18 01:33 PM

Imagine a man doing that to take his sons hunting. Shit, I was divorce raped. But I stll sent my kid to college by saving and spending less on everything else. I was paying my child's tuition and my ex-wife complained about the cost of a new battery for the car I bought during the marriage - the one she got free in the divorce. Biological princesses. Saddle up, men, and keep one hand on your wallet and the other on the reigns. Just ride away.

I have no doubt the climate is changing - but the French raising gasoline taxes won't do a thing for that. I just looked the price and one website reported one gallon of gasoline in Paris is around 6.0 Euros. Wow! That's nearly US $7 a gallon. LOL … socialism works so well on a spreadsheet.

You don't have to act on the urges. If you acted on every emotional impulse that ever came your way you'd probably be in a straight jacket and locked up in solitary confinement :-) How do you ignore other emotions? None. And that's not necessarily because there was something wrong with them. They just did not contribute enough to my life to justify a romantic relationship. I say that because I have LTR platonic relationships with men and women. But those are built around a shared activity. Those men and contribute deeply to my life. But there's no romantic connection. Be a man without needing a woman to be who you are. That sounds contradictory, but it allows you to create an identity with the expectations of a role, like boyfriend or girlfriend. Like all worthwhile pursuits becoming a man is a path. It's a journey, so enjoy that.

Well done, captain. Nothing neats manning our own ship through life. I have come to view women more like the street people I avoid. The women usually have a smartphone in their hand and are waeving all over the sidewalk. Travel is best alone. I took my last trip with a woman three years ago. Since then I have had more fun and less stress!

We cannot honestly say that they are all alike as we have not met each of them, best to keep your guard and treat them as if it were true. Agreed. Everyone has a business plan, whether they're consciously aware of it or not. Since going MGTOW I've turn down dating and relationship opportunities - simply because I don't know how a woman would improve upon the lifestyle I have now. It's good to be judicious with all relationships - but there's enough evidence (let alone the divorce I went through)…

If they are AWALT there is absolutely no way to prove that - because there is no way to know all women who are alive, dead, and will be alive. I think of AWALT as just another shorthand to keep from thinking about human behavior.

Debt. Which, sadly, I equate with my romantic relationships with women. There always seemed to be something else I had to deal with: their anxiety or mistakes I had to clean up, under the pretense of 'helping' them deal with the mess. But overall, any kind of debt: financial or emotional or whatever.

Roughly same years for me. I remember obesity was very rare. As you said, everyone walked or biked. I also don't recall the poly-whatever-crap. Divorce was rarer. There were crazy women then, but now what I see with today's 20-somethings.

If family is everything: Why are divorce rates so high? Why do fewer people remarry after a divorce? Why are marriage rates declining? Christmas culture is 50-60 year old nostalgia. A lot has happened since The Greatest Generation saved the world from tyranny.

This is a Chad's answer, as well. I distance myself from people this shallow. I'd prefer the companionship of the ugliest motherfucker to ever grace the surface of the planet, so long as they were interesting, creative, and engaging. What she describes can be replicated with color on a canvas.

Hah! I have been waiting for the feminists to add this to their agenda, LOL. Thanks for posting this - I will read it over lunch. Though I don't believe you can say men landed us here. Our society did. However, if you look at who uses most resources I don't believe you can say it's men. Who invented the LED bulb and high efficient appliances. I don't understand the whole "pass on my genes" argument. The genes we have don't belong to us, unless we somehow intentionally modified our own genes. Baring that, the genes come from our parents, grandparents, etc.

For sure - and I didn't mean to slam your questions. But they struck me as ones you'd learn more from than introspection - but perhaps I misspoke. And the alcohol analogy is funny and accurate. Finances I've found very simple: carry no debt, spend less than you make, and save as much as you can. That buys you "Fuck You" money and provides a cushion of safety that brings a huge piece of mind. Living paycheck-to-paycheck is awful and stressful. This. Advertising took off in the post-WWII world. Women stayed home and thumbed through catalogues. Ever wonder why, traditionally, stores were open while men worked? Because their wives spent the money.

Some people rise above the herd. It's a lofty position, thouh at times lonely. The tradition is probably as old as two people ganging yp on a third. Man ... I can only imagine the diets you see. You ever wonder why eating disorders seem to be predominantly Western and hitting affluent women? I do … and when I'm in line to get something like a sandwich it shocks me how many adjectives a woman will use for something as simple as two pieces of bread with some stuff between them. According to Psychology Today anorexia nervosa clusters with women and is associated with bipolar and anxiety. About a month ago a woman who fit my ideal sat across from me at a coffeehouse and tried to strike up a conversation. We see other frequently, so I wasn't surprised she would speak with me. I think this is alarming and very MGTOW. It only deals with women tangentially, as MGTOW ought (Merkel). More importantly it deals with governmental power, which historically has negative effects for non-elite men. The disposability of men in a feminist world is nothing compared to conscription and war. I'm in the U.S. so not directly impacted. But this could play into global instabilities around the US, China, Russia, and whatever Brexit ends up looking like. Which could effect my son, who I di…

Wow. I had the same experience and figured I was just broken. I shrugged it off and haven't left my monastery since. Do you feel any attraction to women anymore? I don't - it's a relief. I like Ecclesiastes - it's an amazing book. And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. No one can have two masters. When a man pleases his wife he's likely displeasing his God. When did women become the commodity they are today? To be sought, lusted after, and literally bought with dates the man paid for? Expensive rings? Things like that? Nope. Not all. When I see my emptybed every night I smile. It was my day that earned me peaceful sleep. No women desired or required for either.

Sleeping alone is incredible! I was worried about that at first, but after my first night in my apartment I was pleasantly surprised. Counseling doesn't work for everyone. I think I got lucky because the person I worked with understood my desire to become a monk. I hadn't heard of MGTOW at that point - all I knew is I wanted to be alone and see where the pieces fell. I hit a financial milestone last month. Feels really good. To know that's my money I made with my career and I'm not spending it. …

Isn't that sleep something? That was one of the first things I noticed: the quiet and absence of someone noisy meant I could sleep. Real sleep. The loneliness, for me, I confused some with boredom. But when I dusted off some old hobbies and interests I found people who also like those and made new friends. Plus the starting over bit was and remains fascinating: watching interest happen on an account, for example. Which is the result of my choice to save and not spend. In the end, though, it was …

I remember a moment when the depression flickered into an opportunity to rebuild myself. A fresh start sort of thing. I haven't lost that feeling since then - and it's just become sharper and more honed. I like that you call it your "life's purpose". That has a nice sound :-)

Bingo. Once I picked myself up after the divorce I set financial, health and personal goals. Some get more attention than others, but I review progress in all of them. It's odd how much satisfaction we get from that. TBH I think that's the path to becoming your own best friend.

Thanks, man. It's been four and a half years now and I can say regret and sadness are extremely rare. The first year was tough, but that's because I'm not naturally upbeat. I had to train myself to improve my inner dialogue. But once that happened I was like a fucking cat on fire. Tried all sorts of stuff. Datwd some. As for women now I don't have interest in a romantic relationship. I'm 51 and it's a been-there-done-that sort of thing. Though to be honest with you getting over the need to have …

I can sympathize. We have very similar experiences. Eerily similar. I used the experience to catapault myself forward. I made lemonade from the lemons: it was a fresh start for me. Embracing MGTOW helped me past a severe medical emergency. Both of those happened about the same time - and it dawned on me MGTOW enables me to embrace every day because it's my day. The burden of the medical emergency was less after that - it was like an existential gift. When I unwrapped it I realized what has happened doesn't matter - only what I can make happen with the time I have left. I'm past the medical stuff now and it was the spirit of MGTOW that got me a good part of that distance.…

I can relate. Our son moved out with me, which took some of stigma away - if Mom can't care for a child something's amiss. But I was blown away at the financial arrangement. None of it was her doing - it was the law in my state and she got 50% off the top and then the remaining assets parceled out for half the marriage. I was shocked: I lost everything to someone like that? It wasn't her fault - it was the state lawmaker (a man) who got the law changed. But that's what turned me off from even mo…

Great attitude. Do not let your guard down. Thanks. It gets easier and easier. The last two times were no brainers. The women were attractive, my age, and successful in their careers. But I thought to myself - can she really add something to my life?
/r/MGTOW27/11/18 01:04 AM

Same here. Due to my personal interests and activities and, of course, work, I interact with women daily. But I've turned down four offers to 'get together' in the last nine months. I have no desire to add a romantic relationship to my lifestyle. It will change what I have built too much. TBH even if the system didn't make dating or cohabiting risky for men I'm not sure I'd have any interest. I'm in my early 50s and have enjoyed that part of life enough, and paid a heavy price for it.

I have wondered that. I was divorced rape and am finally getting to where I feel safe again - financially. Though never homeless or hungry, losing everything sucks. And feels worse. With real estate being where it is I've often wondered about MGTOWs combining forces on housing. There are legal ways to handle that and minimize risk. There's gotta be a MGTOW or two with money that could invest in rental property. I'd be feel better about paying rent to a MGTOW than the landlord I pay now.

I've met some GYOW women (WGTOW?) through mutual interests/hobbies. They checked out of the dating and marriage game, and the whole materialist pursuit most people seem caught up in. I've wondered what a forum or meetup of GYOWs would look like - one that included men and women. I do think the larger MGTOW is GYOW. And that decision - to go your own way - earns my immediate respect, regardless of any other characteristics the person may have.

Well said. And written. I appreciate the nod to Marquez. To what extent should we expect women to be able to consciously resist the powerful programming (backed by perhaps billions, trillions? of dollars) that discredits men of intellectual merit, men of unpopular achievement, men of traditional values and foundational responsibility? This caught my attention. That machinery you describe effects all of us. Lately I have been wondering the extent of GYOW with women. Specifically, and I'm guessing…

At that point, no-fault divorce and a corrupt gynocentric family court system typically sets her up with alimony, child support, and house at least, and she has now achieved her retirement. MGTOW is a commitment to yourself and doesn't preclude being with a woman, for some. Though I doubt I'll ever walk that path again - it's not worth it. The nice thing about MGTOW's emphasis on yourself is you're just making yourself better. It doesn't preclude other choices down the road.

You ever remind yourself you're better for that? That you learned from the experience, so it wasn't wasted time or anything like that? The alternative is to stay blue pilled, and no one can blame a man for being blue pilled when our whole culture is heavily predicated upon that. Sometimes, though, I have to remind myself it was a learning experience and to not get down about it. Funny how we beat ourselves up over old decisions.

Huh. You may be onto something there. I have no problem interacting with women in a non-sexual manner, because I'm no longer interested in that. But a lot of women seem to interact with men in mostly pro-sexual ways, or with artificially high boundaries; like they want it know they don't want to have sex with the man. LOL … dealing with men is always much easier.

They only have this power because blue pill men allow it. That's right. I can only speak from my experiences in the West, but it seems our societies, cultures, and religions have elevated women to a status far too high for any human being. They were made exceptional because of their body parts - something decided by the roll of genetic dice played by a game called evolution.

I have more respect for men that ignore women - including not having sex - than PUAs. You're still chasing something that makes you feel good, instead of figuring out your own life and being responsible for it. I don't miss sex at all - it requires too much effort or expense and offers too little of a reward.

LOL. Same here. Outward appearances are all there: decent clothes, good job in a solid career. But man do I sometimes wonder if my destiny was to see the world just a little different than most people. Though, in all honesty, I have met a few people like me. But I'm in my early 50s and it's been a precious few men. I'm grateful I've known them.

The U.S. was banking on the Russians holding. Which is amazing: they held Germany back long enough for the U.S. to arrive in Europe, which was after North Africa and D-Day. I'm American and hope the U.S. never goes to war with Russia. Those son of a bitches endure - and they have a right to be proud of what they have accomplished.

I was trapped for a ling time, but I made the decision tk wait until a divorce would be easier with my son. I will probably die believing that trap is only slightly better than being homeless. Have you even begun to consider Risk to Reward as a concept that men use as guidance to avoid the many pitfalls that are present and acknowledged by many educated women. This sums it up. Risk-to-reward isn't just money. It's also emotional and physical intimacy. If you consider financial, emotional, and physical risk:reward ration not being in a romantic relationship makes the most sense.

That comment makes me wonder - I suspect, in the past, there was a certain of self-respect and honor a man held himself to. He wouldn't demean himself to gain the attention of a woman. But today's man, particularly those under 40, seems hell bent on worshipping any pedestal he's put a woman on. It makes me wonder about pride, honor and self-respect. This. Fraternal orders are all but gone. Men's clubs are gone. Imagine an organized group of men existing beyond a social gathering in a licensed establishment (e.g., men working out together, golfing, hunting, etc.). Men off the plantation are a clear and present danger to the plantation owners. The easiest way to get men onto the plantation is marriage. A heavily regulated (and licensed) relationship. With tax benefits, incidentally.

I'm fairly libertarian, but landed there from the left. While some who post here are more right wing than me, I don't see MGTOW as being overtly political. Hate is an awful thing, but to each his own. Some are angry and that is often misconstrued as hate. The SPLC .... I'm unsure about that group but it's a relatively free country, so to each his own. I can totally relate to what you're saying. I'm in my early 50s. After I went MGTOW it became insane. Here's my theory: When you're satisfied professionally and personally that is communicated in your demeanor. It's called confidence. And nothing feels better than saying 'no' to a woman's interest. I've even told some I'm MGTOW. One woman got it, but I could tell she was bummed. She also appeared desperate and was clearly looking. Not my problem.

I believe so - romantic relationships are more defined by our history, culture, and society than the individuals in them. Expectations, norms, roles, and so on - they weigh down on us and limit our choices. That's why most people do predictable things most of the time; even when there are alternatives that may be more logical and emotionally sound. The fundamental flaw here, for me, is how impossible it would be for two people to take ownership of their relationship; when it's 'shared' like this. And then the whole thing falls apart: the woman compares and contrasts the two men. TBH I'm not sure what's worse here: the woman who believes she is worthy of this or the 'men' who are fine with it. I'm so fucking happy to be MGTOW monk mode I feel like setting off fireworks some days.

Dying hair unnatural colours has always confused me though. Some women spend insane amounts of money dying their hair all different colours every week. Seems like a complete waste of time. Agreed. I've never understood hiding gray, so when someone tosses in purple and green - two colors I often see - I wonder about their motivations. ... women are more in tune with nature ... That's true. Back in our distant past it was men who stayed in the cave and nursed the young ones while their protective wives speared mastodons. Knock yourself out in a society without men. I'm sure a woman would have gotten around to inventing the modern tampon. At some point. Source: Menstruation Through the Ages. Edit: formatting

His banning was more emotional than rational. IIRC the 'press' has certain expectations of entry into events. Hence the press 'pass' - though perhaps this will establish some sort of legal precedent that will solidify the role of the press? In either case, I find politics a source of entertainment now. It's damn near impossible for me to believe they will have any positive effect on my life, outside of a chuckle and the constant reminders to go my own way.

Nice of way of putting that, brother. Last night an attractive woman was sitting across me. She was reading a book - which gave me the freedom to look at her without her seeing me. Though she was attractive I had no desire for her. None. It was like looking at a sculpture, or maybe something even less substantial, like an idea. I found that curious and thought more on it this morning. Though this isn't a new experience for me, the revulsion I felt was very clear and sharp. Not revulsion for her,…

As I reflect on life I've come to realize and accept that my first and most important responsibility is my thought life or inner private dialogue. Wise words. Every action promotes a reaction. A man can destroy himself with his inner private dialogue. They seemed more interested in the “philosophy of care” section, which I thought was a hot pile of garbage and entirely irrelevant to philosophy. I have a good friend who ate bad meat when he was 12. For 30 years he would get sick to his stomach if he smelled meat cooking. He was in the hospital and they had to pump his stomach. He was the most reluctant vegetarian I knew 🤣

don't ... even bother women Because MGTOW presents a compelling case for not doing what nearly 100% of people do: chase a woman to be your girlfriend or wife. Right off the bat MGTOW offends white knights. But, those folks seek external validation. When you have self-assured men on the sidelines ignoring that it likely petrifies them because they're not being validated.

The knly thing you can control - ever - is your reaction to what happens. My suggestion: do what you can to ensure you are able to support yourself. I went from a two-story house with four bedrooms to an apartment smaller than most motorhomes and no car. I ended up loving it. As odd as it may sound if you don't have the means to support and provide for yourself you won't be there for your kids. That's why you have to keep yourself Number One. If I may: you have a complucated arrangement here, wi…

Sadly, I think you're right. I tend to believe, in the past the OP is referencing, a man's wife and their relationship was his haven. It was the one stable thing in a world emerging from WWII and inching closer to the next one in Korea. She respected his ability to provide and repaid that with a home she was proud of and he wanted to return to. Because of what and who was there for him. Men are even more dispoable now. What the state leaves behind the woman gets in a divorce. Or uses while strin…

I think what you're describing is culture and society. For those two things to work there has to be a base understanding, which some call 'tradition', that is taken for granted. It's the same reason people eat turkey on Thanksgiving. And that's why I like people who are different from me. If someone went to the trouble to investigate the things everyone assumes to be true, and decides something different, then they're different. Like with your question: I believe in God, but also believe in …

I tell them I'm happy alone, that a relationship would derail my life. One woman was interested in that, so I said romantic relationships are too much work for the value they deliver. When she inquired further I listed off my hobbies and the things I do with my friends. She's attractive, and I don't necessarily dislike women. But I think our culture has made romantic relationships so risky they're really not worth it. And after you have enough sex it's meh - not going through all that to get lai…

Since I've gone MGTOW, and even more so monk mode, the women crawled out of the woodwork somedays. I think there's a confidence exuded when you're solid MGTOW. Nothing reinforces it more than saying no, though :-)

I can second this. I don't live for it, but I do enjoy turning a woman down. I said yes, a few times after my divorce, but like you I'm monk mode and have been for a while now. I can't see myself ever going back - there's too much joy in the simple life. Keep saying no. If I'm pressed for a why, though, I tell them. Their reaction is even better :-)

Good advice. And here's what I say to a man about to ride off in the sunset with a unicorn: Unless you treat yourself as good as you treat her, question your feelings for her. If you feel better about yourself with her, that's all fine and good. But your first live should always be for yourself

I disagree - but you raise an interesting point. The bias in my belief is I don't think technology will be able to compensate with carrying capacity constraints. Have you had someone review/edit your resume? I have hired people for 20 years. Most employers know what to look for. Your resume may scream 'uneducated/unskilled' because you don't know how to communicate your skills. And remember this: you can get a job in the US if you're here illegally and don't speak English. Take a look at your resume. Pretend you're a hiring coach and tell yourself how to improve and polish it. Something's not working here - your experience is data for self improvement.

I've been losing friends to women for years. Frankly getting tired of it. I don't begrudge them their relationships, just how they drop their friendships for pussy. A few months ago I decided to wrangle up some new friends. Jumped onto some forums where people share hobbies. You're right that 50 isn't 20. I can do most of the things I did 30 years ago, but don't because they no longer hold my interest. Or the reward is no longer meaningful. I have given serious consideration to the homesteading idea. Unfortunately my divorce gutted me, though that loss meant no alimony. Whoa. That's pretty insightful - and something I have seen all my life: people retiring without hobbies. And in many cases because the men, at least, dropped the hobbies because of all the middle-class accessories shackles. My hobbies shifted once I hit middle age. While you're certainly entitled to an opinion, I think that's all this is. And it's a poorly formed one. US Aid, typically administered as Foreign Aid, has been U.S. foreign policy ("USAID") since reconstruction efforts in post-WWII Europe. US birth rates are declining. In 2009 the rate was 13.8. Which means just under 14 births per 1,000 people. I'm not sure what you mean by 1.7 and "no country has come back from 1.8". The more interesting trend is to look at population growth as a result of births and immigration. The first has more to do with cultural continuity, the later with cultural change. This is why the planet was explored by men. Take a look at the achievements of people like Ernest Shackleton and James Cook and Neil Armstrong (OK … so a bit beyond our planet). I might disagree with "a man's evolutionary instinct is to continue the species and be spades for women" precisely because there are many men who went years, decades, and lifetimes without female companionship; or having children. I suspect most of what you're describing can be attributed do "cultural programming." Anoth…

The fact a woman can be that duplicitous for that long - seven years - is devastating. Look what she did while married: Had a daughter with another man Had a son with another man And the consequences are devastating for this poor man. I can't imagine the turmoil something like that would feel like. Three-fifths of your family (60%) are a lie: his daughter's father, son's father, and his wife's fidelity and honesty. Men: look deep, deep inside and ask yourself why you chase women.

I have no interest in women sexually. Maybe that's a been there done that thing, but the price seems too high. When I've been in gaming groups with women the first hour is taken up ordering food and the rest is explaining the rules to them because they were too busy to read them. You're absolutely right. Dusts off degrees in the social sciences Most 'social movements' - or, more correctly, ideological shifts - occur in times of economic growth. Not when people struggle to eat. Feminism and the 'womens movement' is more about economic largess than anything else. If I lived there I'd give it a serious shot. I think there are social and financial benefits to this. And I believe it can be done without risking the group involved. I like the acronym "AWALT" and don't use it. Because it's not true - I have not met every woman. Not specific at this point. Ideally I'd like to do this with another person - our own boats (or cabins on private land in the mountains … you get the picture). Caribbean is nice, but S. Pacific is stunning. If I go with the boat I'll do either ocean, but it'll be with another MGTOW sailor or two.

A houseboat ties you to the slip or dock in a marina. I mean something you can sail around. Houseboats aren't bad, but they're intended to fliat in one place. Just as important at the boat you pick are the local liveaboard laws. Pay very close attention to this: jurisdictions are starting to clamp down on people living aboard boats because they're not collecting property taxes on them. And many marinas have strict policies on liveaboards. This has been on my shortlist for some time. I've researched locations in Florida, Oregon, Washington, and California. All have restrictive laws, or are considering them. It's a damn shame - getting harder and harder…

Oh, I see. Do you suppose that makes you a better introvert? I find it ludicrous to think mgtow is recent or modern development, rather it's a reawakening in many of us, a realization of what was lost. I think you're absolutely right. MGTOW finds expression in the context in which men find themselves subject to rules that don't offer enough reward for following them. The best example I can think of are explorers. Same thing here. Sometimes, when I look around me, I see a mass of people moving with the flow. Not questioning anything. Buying into social media and the herd mentality. But I suppose what you're describing can also be seen leveling up as a MGTOW. When we go our own way we're telling society we value self and responsibility over conformity. Hell, I value it so much I don't broadcast it. It does feel antisocial at times, but so what? I don't claim to be better than anyone else - just different. …

What should I do? Go your own way. Sounds like she's adding little value to your life that doesn't center around her emotions and drama. I'd say you're being used by her as an outlet for her emotions - and they sound dark. If I get out, how can I minimize the shitstorm she will create? Keep your nose clean. You're right to be worried - account for your days because you may be asked to.

Two things: Your state today won't be tomorrow's If you're MGTOW you're not in the rat race Supporting yourself financially is covering your own expenses. To the extent you control your expenses you have some control over the amount you need to make. Becoming MGTOW, which to means being independent financially and emotionally, is a process. You're comment reminds me of the reasons I've always suspected feminists trash Sigmund Freud. They believe humans, or at least they, are exceptional and not subject to things like adaptation, natural selection, and evolution. However, most men I know want two things in life: How do I fit in What are the rewards In other words, what's my job (packing order and expectations on me) and is it worth doing. Oddly enough those two things are why I have a good career and choose to be single.

For every middle class family their will be children with the indisputable assumption that 'making it' is a spouse, kids, and 'nice' house. I know these people. Their 'nice' house looks just like everyone else's 'nice' house. The currency of social order is conformity. The currency of MGTOW is self- reliance and self-respect. C…

I tend to think about money in terms of how long I can live on it. My expenses are stupid low and I have a great career. The idea of spending $55 grand on a wedding revolts me, but it's their money. Still, I could live quite awhile on that.

People who use people - pumping and dumping or riding the cock carousel, for example - often do not realize success is built upon relationships. You could have a perpetual motion machine but without relationships (sales, supply, etc) it won't go anywhere. She's probably an example of this. Her worth is putting shit on shelves. That's it.

Yup - you got that right. Women on bicycles. Not the lycra wearing kind, but a more upright bike with swept back handlebars. Wearing a sundress and sun hat. That snags my attention the same watching a wolf run across a meadow in the mountains. Or how a waterfall curves and flows. Don't want to possess either of those, but I enjoy the movement. It's subtle. And has a little power to capture my attention.

My ex-wife is diagnosable. Literally. For grins, a few years before our divorce, I used an app that tracked the number of times she said "I", "You" in an accusation (meaning me), and "We" followed by something I had to do for the theoretical "Us". We go to a marriage counselor who just lays into her. So much so I'm shocked. I pulled the app out on my phone and gave the numbers as an example of why I always feel defeated. My experience has been the opposite, but I'm not getting married again, at least in the U.S. Though you make me wonder: When I was dating it was the women that brought up marriage. And they downplayed the ceremony, saying something 'small and intimate' is what they want. Could be they were fishing and once engagement rings were in place it would turn into a D-Day sized affair 🤔

Right on. Before my divorce I saw the ugliest sides of my ex-wife after our child was born. I was shocked. Sometimes into a slack-jawed zombie wondering how the fuck she can flip so quickly. Motherhood is venerated as a holy institution in the West. And yet weekly I see well-dressed moms in very expensive cars lost their shit on their kids. One week after my son and I moved out, before the divorce was final, he made feel like a rock star. We're in our tiny apartment and he said, "Dad, when it's …

What's the conflict? I was raised Catholic. I no longer attend mass, but the values of that religion are core to me. MGTOW can be whatever you make it, like adherence to a religion. I skip over the rage/anger posts because that's counterproductive. MGTOW is also a fine criticism of what western society has done to itself. And an excellent reminder that we have the capacity to be self-actualized without a romantic relationship.

Balance - what I did when I was younger. I focused on one thing enough to get my career into a place where I could do my job and then have my life. Overall I wouldn't make that many different choices. I think when you get older you tend to see where you are as the sum of decisions you made in the past, and what you made with what you had.

Sadly, no Xbox - Switch. What is it with the constant attention? It was literally constant in my case. Two or three hours to get my stuff in order, read, etc... always seemed to generate resentment in my ex. Though I miss somethings from that relationship, having my life back makes up for it.

It's amazing how women react when you don't acknowledge them. I care more about sweeping my hardware floors weekly than hooking up with a woman again. When they want attention it's damn obvious. As if I'm going to stop what I'm doing and acknowledge because I can feel you looking at me. And the huffing and puffing when I ignore them. Ladies? Your frustration is my victory. You may think you've won the battle of the sexes, but in doing so you lost the war on self respect.

So today I went and volunteered at an outdoor jazz event I helped plan. Then riding through downtown on my bike I stopped by the vinyl shop and bought a couple records. U.S. states have wised up in divorces, whether there's a child involved or not. The other day I used the "soy boy" expression at my local coffeehouse. The barista is a suitably bearded man who is going his own way. Wow … no kidding! I just cancelled the premium version of the music service I was using because I realized I never listened to the music available on it. Why? Sappy love songs. So I cancelled and what was left was the music I listened to all the time, which was part of the basic package. Still, I rarely play music with lyrics anymore. You're young. Remember that. You will find your tribe. And ask yourself: do you want to fit into that crowd? If the answer is no identify the reasons you don't want to. And live those reasons to be the only you can be 😊

JFC. I was hopeful we'd see something about vaccinations. IIRC they were invented by men, after a man figured out the hypodermic needle. Before that other man who discovered penicillin.

Right on! How old? I broke 50 last year. With a sedentary job losing it is tough. But I make progress and that's all that matters in everything. I hit the financial goal first. It's amazing how hitting a worthy goal energizes the soul 😊

I love my gaming group! It doubles MGTOW miles per gallon 😁

Are you perhaps introverted? That can make people feel anxious in social environments. I know. I'm old enough to have a child in college. So cmthis is coming from experience as me and my child :-)

Brilliant. I have a list like that. It's important to remind ourselves of our values and priorities. Distraction can turn that into a list of regrets if we're not self aware.

I see the same stuff. My clothes are nice and clean. I'm always well groomed. Between the transit stop and my apartment I'm usually hit up three or four times in the 15 minute walk by street people (sociological driftwood, really) asking for food, money, or cigarettes. When I get home I lock the door, throw the bolt, change, and throw music on. I'm a white male whose quiet. Phone is muted. I don't talk unnecessarily. Successful career. And for just existing and taking care of myself I'm seen as …

Smart. I have zero debt. No girlfriend. No car. Yet my passport is filled with stamps. And I often travel alone because that's when the adventure happens at the destination and not in next month's credit card bill. MGTOW is more fundamental than a movement. It's a philosophy and lifestyle. I suspect the economic effect is negligible, for now. And as the feminists point out men make more money than women, so as long as there's a man to lay the cash out his wife or girlfriend will likely spend it.…

Cucks and blue pills really set the rules. They reward the behavior with time, money, and affection.

For those of you who have stopped altogether, and you're not lying about it, and you have enough game to have been in the game before... how do you cut them out entirely? Is my sex drive too high? I'm a decade past you, so a little more experience. For some reason I attract women. I don't know why. Always have. Especially younger women - in their 30s. And these are lookers as well as successful in their careers. The sex drive is there - no less than it was in my 30s and 40s. But it's less notice…

She was perfect Obviously not. And also you're using past tense. Anyone's, man or woman, perfections and imperfections are a reflection of them and our own perceptions. Sadly, our perceptions often are informed by expectations and hence are biased.

Wow. So I'll need to go through an abortion sometime in the coming weeks. Not the most exciting thing on my to do list for sure, but at least I live in a country where this procedure is readily available and subsidized. So she's happy the procedure is subsidized and her biggest worry is the impact to her workout schedule. I'm not single. I'm not alone. I'm sane :-)

Sometimes I think I can spot a MGTOW by the way he walks and stands. And how MGTOWed he is. There's no automatic glance at a woman, yet he has situational awareness.

From women. They can't wrap there head around the fact a man doesn't desire any woman. One day I will have no fucks left to give and just say I am disillusioned by the price of female companionship.

It's been years since I've dated. But I did notice that on dating sites. Even in person - there was a reason they were hoping an algorithm would find a match for them. And like you said: until they learned about my job they had, at best, a suspicious interest in me. Once they found out my job they became interested 🙄

Yeah. Hell of an album :-) Dio has always struck me as one of rock's greats. I rank his albums up there with Rush, in terms of musical complexity and lyrics that are damn near literary. And his voice was full with a range capable of handling the drums and guitars.

Interesting. That album has always struck me as a solid piece of rock music. It's one of my favorites. I've always associated it with individualism, though not in the way you describe. Thanks for this - I'm going to give it a listen this weekend, with your thinking in mind.

You're never lonelier than in a relationship like the one depicted in that photo. If you're alone and lonely you can do something about it. In a relationship it's we, which is a bit tougher.
