Brother, so sorry for what you are going through. I feel for you because I was there a number of years ago. Believe me when I say that you will recover as long as you take care of your emotional health. Many men, like us, have the near-life-ending experience of a toxic relationship with a sick, ill woman. Some of us go so far as to look over the edge, but for some reason of grace, are able to pull ourselves back.

I was Capt'n Sav-A-Ho and totally in love with a woman who used me for what I could supply. The more she hurt me, the more I wanted her. They will hold you with sex and you will remember all the good times, forgetting the bad, but will treat you with disdain the more that you give to them. Only women know how to crush your ego and reduce you. Some women feed on it. I found one of them.

My advice to you, my friend, is to go solo the next couple or three years. And you know what? Geographical cures DO work. It saved my life. Use the time to learn about your value and worth that you bring to all your friendships and never accept toxicity in your life again.

Just make sure the person they assign ya is actually helping you, that is to say what they have to say works/sounds right for you.

If not get some one else, got real lucky had to go to behavioral health clinic (navy nice talk for mental health clinic) managed to get some people who really helped me out... wish i had gone sooner may have not nearly ruined my career... then again i might not have ever sought help had i not... catch 22...

Too often men fall into the trap of:

Trauma

You are not alone, we have all seen how women change after 3-4 years. They do a 180 and turn into a totally different person. They become mean, withhold sex, lie, cheat, etc. The theory is that it’s a biological urge to fuck someone new. Women are not monogamous. Briffaults Law too.
