Throwback: I met with a few friends and we had an honest sit down about life plans and women. Before long a couple female friends joined in and surprisingly it turned pretty positive. Total party: two feminists, my ex, and three of my friends.

We cleared up some misconceptions about each other and cast a new focus on what we want from life and each other versus what society has trained us to expect, pursue and emulate.

Summary: Treat others how you want to be treated. Perpetuating a cycle of discontent, bigotry and narcissism will never yield positive results.

I'm a veteran, black, from cali and happily divorced. Over the years I have seen the media demonize lower middle class, muslims, men in general, and hispanics/blacks. Don't take this approach with MGTOW because we will run into the same plot armor holes that feminism has. mgtow is about going your own way, not attacking everything and everyone in sight.

  1. Two of my buddies thought mgtow was about bashing anyone who doesnt see things their way. That's called arrogance, and when practiced AGAINST others while ignoring consequences.....it goes into ignorance. Which is the exact problem most of us have with third wave feminism today. We hashed it out.

  2. The ex. EL is a single mom with a bachelors in business management, two jobs and her own house. We dated for a bit and now we just hang in the group. She has a young son.

Before dating: I went mgtow just before we dated. And her agreement with it mostly came from her concern for her son. She actually wanted to understand MGTOW and how current trends in society harm and endanger young men.

During the relationship: The sex was good. I always had snacks and after we dated I watched little man while she finished up her masters. She paid off my car at the end of the year as comp.

Aftermath: ended it civilly over lunch. She paid. And we still hang with friends after.

  1. Fear mongering. Some of the posts I see here remind me of what feminism is doing to men. Also, was the biggest topic that came up. I am a big fan of honest exposure and fact checking. But slander and stereotypes are weapons of chaos not tools for progress. For me, I want to inform the men I know about MGTOW AND actually build positive relationships with people I work with men and women alike. On the mgtow side, its healthier and easier to relate movement when seen as a support for men instead of a weapon against anyone else.

Anyone else have something positive about relating mgtow to people they know? Overcoming obstacles? Reaching milestones?
