Marriage specifically to me seems like something people do purely out of tradition. That is to say, they are “copying” each other in a sense. This also makes me wonder if they want to be married, or if they simply felt like they had to.
I also question if married people are self aware enough to know the difference between blindly following a tradition, and genuinely wanting to do something.
