Err, no. I work in the field. There is some good work being done in the field and it is evolving, but understand that easily 95% who work in the field have a minimal technical background and have no real understanding of the tools they are using.

They are generally just developers and coders.

A large fraction just do what is essentially infrastructure support (databases, IT and the like). They don't actually do AI.

So of course it's become a racket and a skimming operation.

A good example are 10 month so called graduate programs (post Bachelors) for $40,000 that grant degrees. Doesn't matter what your undergrad background is. These are large universities pulling this. And they are sold as real Masters graduate degrees. All fake. All made up.

Doesn't mean the field as a whole is a fraud but you do have to take claims with a large grain of salt.

I wouldn't worry about it... as the saying goes; all predictions about the future are wrong.

And the only sure way of knowing if you are right, is if everyone laughs at you.

The things in life we worry about never seem to happen, something else invariably changes things, and then you worry about something else.

And who cares if we dont have jobs? What! no cotton to pick? and I have to go fishing?

Sit on a pier and fill a bucket? like a million old men before me?

I've also sern articles the other way around, that women will lose the most jobs.... Do I care? no... why? I have a thousand fishooks and a bucket....

And I know that no matter what the talking heads say, I can grow corn and make cornmeal for the fish batter, and grow spuds for French Fries, and that there will likely be veggie oil for my pot....

Not being too bought into the system, and having lived on too little before, I know that AI taking jobs isnt my real issue... My issue is staying warm, clean, fed, And dry, and I know how to do all that, starting at zero if necessary....

No your wrong. Women won't work to benefit another ever. It has never been demonstrated. It violates briffaults law. Women must benefit from the environment, even if they have to put make up on and do the princess act, but they will never work endlessly to benefit the environment at their cost.

If you think women are lookist bigots right now, it's gonna get much, much worse once AI takes our jobs. Universal basic income and subsidized brothels or sexbots will be absolutely essential to keep civilization alive for just a little longer.

Seems like the elites are using AI to corner us into accepting socialism/communism. Faced with the utter collapse of civilization, people will selfishly accept communism to get their basic needs met without caring about the HELL that awaits the next generation once the money runs low. The first-generation commies will get the benefits and bliss, but all following generations will pay the price once the bill is due.

You’re misguided, you think teachers would stay? Ha that’ll be all online. And just remember as long as men continue to work harder , the jobs of women will go first as men adapt
